Watching this a year later, as my wife is getting a TT. Just amazing to see how far you have come now, your video quality and content have massively improved. 🙂🙂

Good job on the follower , for your window gap, under the bottom of your door you have two adjusters for setting the gap give that a try . Also if you wanting to keep content going on the TT give the intake valves a clean . You should see how horrid they get and not to hard a job . Also when was the cam belt changed ? Another good content vid all the best bud , keep up the good work .

Thanks so much bro yeah I will deffo give that a look at. Cam belt was done at 82k so I should be safe right? Cars at 110k now. Thanks for the support man 👍

Did you replace the grill? Perhaps I havent found the video yet or I'm wrong but that looks like the TTS front grill. I love it and have been wanting to switch mine out.

The cars really interesting as you are pointing out the specific requirements as well as the possibilities of updates. I just need a bit of information on getting the Left side mirror movement assembly that you pointed out for being a $50 part somewhere. Can you please provide the link / reference of the source for same. Thanks. Currently my left mirrors open / close movement is stuck with a electrical issue indicted in VCDS with fault code 00942.

Hi Matt, Thanks for the videos. Why have to change the part? If not changed What’s going to happen ? Pls explain ? I changed the whole High pump filter not the little thing you changed, i did’nt knew. I had epc fault before changeing itand nows Its all good.
@sherabnamdhak64855 жыл бұрын
So since the tappet wasn’t particularly worn how did you tell it needed replaced. Or did you just decide to change it just in case.
@MatArmstrongbmx5 жыл бұрын
I heard it was a common problem and couldn't see in any of the service history that it had ever been changed so thought I might aswell do it. Its not expensive and can save you alot of damage and money

How many miles is there on the car/cam follower?
@MatArmstrongbmx6 жыл бұрын
The cars now done 110k miles haha I have no idea when the cam follower was done last on this but luckily it wasn't so bad. But I have heard of them failing as little as 25k miles after being replaced. So deffo worth checking 👍

The Flat Tappet/Cam Follower will never wears out if you don't "DRY START" the engine after changing the oil filter. Always bleed air and build up oil pressure using the starter before starting the engine. Biggest wear on the engine happens during startup after changing the oil and oil filter.

@Mat Armstrong New Flat Tappet/Cam Follower requires break-in using NON-SYNTHETIC OIL high in zinc and moly assembly lube.

No hate here on not getting new screws that others said were necessary or you might get an oil leak. No hate here on you not getting a new gasket. Children know you need to replace old gaskets or trouble will be heading your way. Just disappointed that you would do such a thing. I hope that you are just having a bad day as shoddy workmanship is NOT a good thing if you want to get more people to watch your channel.
