As someone with acrophobia, everytime I go near a ledge or everytime I am able to see the things below me on a high height, my thoughts get filled with "what if you fall?", "what if you drop an important thing?", "what if the thing you're standing on breaks?", and I cant stop it. Though on the first time I went on a zipline, my extreme fear was miniscule at the time because I was talking to another person (it was a 2 person zipline), so maybe I can get over my fear of heights. But, I am also very shy, and I have a hard time socializing for some reason, maybe because I have a hard time trusting people. But maybe, I can overcome my fear with the advice you said

3 weeks late, but I'm glad your internship is going well. Hopefully you learn and get what you want from it. But honestly I think this is great advice. About 11 months ago, I was on the fence for applying for a national work/study scholarship because I didn't think I would even get it, and because I would need to be cleared Top Secret. However, I ended up applying anyway, and after 7 months of being processed, I found out I got the scholarship! It's completely changed my life so far, and I also met one of my best friends through the testing phase. The security work sucked so bad, but it was all worth it in the end. Now I'm joining a college military program (for fun), and I'm nervous about the initial week which is in 8 days... but I'm gonna keep your advice in mind! Thanks LateCom!!
