100% agree with you. In actual fact I have watched many hearings in the USA & the UK respectively for the past 4/5 years on various subjects. I see a pattern in them all. It seems to me that politicians & high status individuals from governmental departments who all get paid quite handsomely one would say, are playing a game with NO RULES of which they ALL WIN & CAN'T LOOSE. If you think about it, all the questions are genuine & are required to be asked. Yet 99% of them never get answered. On top of that NOBODY is held accountable, nor prosecuted. If that isn't a game. What is it?

yep. I had a friend who tried to do some small arms business and get some parts machined outside our borders. He nearly spent a decade in prison as an arms dealer without handling actual fire arms, just trying to get some small arms parts made out of country. His attack is basically, "Hey, look what I read on the Internet. What, you didn't hear about this thing I read somewhere? What's wrong with you?" If he really thinks they're breaking the law, he needs to gather evidence that these export-controlled systems were sold to such-and-such Chinese entity that the state considers illegal to sell to, and bring charges.

Welcome to the U.S. Government. The entire government is like this. Hire/promote DEI above all others and this is the result. Pick an agency, any agency and spend just one day walking around various offices. The amount of inaction will shock you. Seat after seat empty, people asleep, people watching "days of our Lives", as a DEI'er they are NOT expected to know anything or do anything. All the work is left up to white males, but the DEI folks will get the awards for stuff like peddling Saving Bonds or hosting a LGBTQRSTUV meeting. why did kennedy never say which chip or chips he is talking about. i didn't hear one number/name spoken. i worked in chips for some time. stupid questions from someone that did not do any homework and learn about chips. as bad as trump wanting to inject bleach into people cause he saw on TV it kills germs.. its congressmen like kennedy that shoot from the hip. you state incompetent department, how would you or kennedy know. where was kennedy or the republicans knowing that TSMC made 20 plus year old chips to keep the auto industry going.. that in the US we only make chips that are not even 10 yrs old.. blame car markers for there lack of advancing with the state of the art. tesla never had a chip problem..

She is so naive. I worked in the International Sales Dept of a major bearing manufacturer during the embargo of Iran, Iraq, and South Africa in the '80's and '90's. Our bearings and components were prohibited from being sold from the US to those countries, and anytime one of my Export Distributors located in the US wanted to place an order for export, they had to provide the name, address, and country of destination of the end user, so all shipping and billing documents would reference that information. It didn't take long for some of my Export Distributors to contact our sales facility in Europe, to be setup as a customer, with a local sales office and credit accounts, in order to bypass the US embargo laws. Senator Kennedy is so correct to be concerned. Unless the Distributors have bonded warehouses with a government agency to oversee actual compliance of no sales to China, there is no way to control these sales. I belueve the only way would be to classify the product as US Government restricted and all purchases go thru the government, like military armament, submarines, etc.
