To truly understand The Warning fan base I think you need to react to the live 2017 Tedx performance just three songs and their speeches is amazing. To see them so young will bring a smile to your face and Pau is at another level even at that age. Like you I just found them looking at a KZbin video about upcoming bands and was not prepared for what I saw and went down the rabbit hole and can’t wait to see them this year. What makes them so enjoyable to watch? Is it their absolute talent, their voices, their playing abilities, their songs, their stunning looks? I could easily say Dany is my favorite because of her powerful voice, her energy, her stage presence, her guitar playing and her star quality, but I could also say Pau is my favorite because of her unmatched energy, her voice, the power she uses to master her drums or I could say the Ale is my favorite as she quietly stalks the stage with thunder in her hands and delivers quick looks and smiles at lucky people starring at her. They are the total package and satisfy everyone's ears, eyes and emotions

Expert musicianship, intelligent lyrics, tight and seamless arrangements, passionate live performances, and a strong heartfelt connection to their audience. I recall my awakening to Rush in about 1984. It was Moving Pictures and Tom Sawyer, which some younger friends brought to me, and inspired a Rush journey for me. In time I bought my Rickenbacker bass and learned a bunch of Rush lines, wishing I had the vocal chops to sing like Geddy. One big difference is that Rush didn't do "love songs". Another is the complexity of their songs in their prog rock era, which is perhaps why I fell in with the more simple (if that is the term) songs of Moving Pictures and subsequent albums. So here comes The Warning, with a very different sensibility. I had seen the Enter Sandman cover along with a few million others, and their appearance on Ellen, but did not follow along in their journey into their own music. Then came Disciple, at CDMX, which fell like an asteroid strike (like a satellite?) Into my consciousness. Wowwowow! Instantly in love. My journey into TWB has been Rush like for me, and yet very different. Many times I find myself with goosebumps during emotional songs, especially when Pau is doing a solo piano and vocal connection with a little room of 8000, in Breathe, or Black Holes, or when Dany does When I'm Alone, alone...

The Warning have a sound that is both new and familiar. It is certainly hard rock, but clearly influenced by their love of metal, punk, K-pop, indie, grunge, funk, and many other genres including classical music. But they have taken those influences and forged a sound that is uniquely their own, and you know that it is them. What does it sound like to me? Refreshing. A sound that has caught my ear and made me interested in rock again after 25+ years of the same old playlist. While together their ages are less than mine, their musical maturity is exceptionally high.

Hell yea, keep going with this. This concert is amazing & it gives you the full range of their catalog. Here’s your 1000th explanation of the songs😊 Yes, it’s “ugh” as any proper teenage girl says it when annoyed. They hated working on it & “ugh” became the working title so they kept it. It’s part of the story in their concept album Queen of the Murder Scene. ‘Amour’, off their latest album ERROR. we call it the ratatouille song because Pau wrote it after seeing a 30 second scene from the movie where the rat witnesses a French couple going from vowing to kill each other straight to makeout session.

Amour...just a cool quiet little love song. Till it isn't. It is more subtle and complex than it appears. The bit with Pau on kick, Ale on a simple bass...notice how the bass note is subtly delayed, before those awesome tribal drums come in. And, Dany's French pronunciation is actually quite good (imho). "Je t'aime pour toujours"...note how there is an aspirated "h" between the "r" of pour and the "toujours". That is pretty subtle, quite French. My favorite quiet breakdown. "I love you forever My heart is yours I hate the love in my life Iam not lying I adore you" And, live, the harmonic guitar behind the prechorus, "bleed for me", stands out much better. And the harmonies near the end blend really well. So, my favorite...till the next one.

Similar to Rush in the way they are so distinct yet their catalogue is super diverse.

Common admit it, there was no technical issue, you were just looking for an excuse to go back and rewatch Pau do that drum fill again. HEHE! 😜Seriously though, there is a fan made black and white video of them performing Ugh at The Rebel Lounge where the girls are on fire, especially Pau, so I would suggest that you either come back to it later down the road or at least watch it one on your own time. That bridge in Amour is in French. Je t'aime pour toujours > I love you always Mon coeur est tien > My heart is yours Je te deteste > I detest you Amour de ma vie > Love of my life Je ne mens pas > I do not lie Je t'adore > I adore you

Ugh has always been a favorite of mine. I sometimes get Sabbath vibes from it. But for me, this live version of Amour beats the studio recording, even though Dani has a quick slip vocally, Pau and Ale's hamonies on the first half of Dani,s long note at the end gives me chills

Great Reaction as always! I am sure you heard that they are releasing "Sick" this coming Friday so now you get to experience something new with the rest of us! Can't wait to see what you think.

You are absolutely right in your comment about The Warning sound and that you instantly know that something is The Warning. And that doesn't mean all there stuff sounds alike - at all - as you said, it's not like AC/DC or ZZ Top, where it's the same song, different lyrics. The Warning are truly a force to be reckoned with, and I pity the fool who tries to say otherwise!

Ugh…. That sound you hear from a procrastinating teen, when you want them to get something done. Which is where the title came from. When doing the concept album Queen of the Murder scene they got stuck with this song, and they’d make that noise when dad wanted them to work on it.. Finish it. Amour French for Love A-more-a. Pau got the inspiration for this one from a 15 second clip from the Disney animated movie Ratatouille.
