This whole substitute thing is crazy to me! Not necessarily starting the lower rated players, but I thought everyone made subs! I’ve made subs every game for the like past 10 years of FIFA/FC

Yup, same here. Often just because I have lots of players I like to play with for the same position. And I often felt like my subs were performing a lot better, like Nep said, so after a couple of games I tried starting with a different line-up but the previously subbed on players often don't get the same results (goals / assists) when they start vs when they were subbed on. Another advice: try to have different builds of players for the positions that you sub on / off. For example I used Malen at ST but then have an evo'd Marcus Thuram that I bring on (sometimes even in the 45th minute) if I feel that Malen is being bullied by the CB's. Same for the midfield.. starting with an evo Khephren Thuram but subbing on WW vitinha if I feel that I need a more technical player in the midfield

Maybe if you started your best team you wouldn’t have been losing before making subs in every game? It’s an interesting take though my only issue would be that 99% on people I play against rage quit in the first half anyway

I always start my best side, however I always make subs around 60-70 and all of my subs are the same positions and roles and usually the same playstyles. My only current difference is using Eze from level 30 who I’ve got Playmaker++ but my sub is Palmer SBC with Shadow Striker and I make sure to change the role when making the CAM sub

Seeing the opponents team doesn’t bother me, usually I find the better teams have the worse player as they most likely just copy everyone else so it’s the evo teams or the lower tier ones that give me a hard time.

Yeah I feel that way too but I usually struggle more against shite players cuz EA loves to suck their balls dry. Scripting is a joke this year. I'd honestly rather play an actually good player cuz the game flow is much more enjoyable

This is 100% true. My opponent kept pausing right after half time, so I knew all his pauses would be exhausted so on the last one I made all my 5 subs. Game never got paused and scored tons in the last 20 mins since he wasn’t able to refresh his team 💪

I always tend to go for midfielders and defenders with relentless play style but also my subs are always designed so if I have an injury, I have a quality backup in that area of the field. But it’s also so hard to remember to sub because you get so focused on getting that goal back or defending that it becomes less of a priority

One stat I always look at, at half time, i look at my opponents possession map. I find it helps me key in on the space they want to attack! Love the content! 🎉

What a revolutionary idea... SUBS! I always wondered why the game made me pick 7 spectators, turns out... they're SUBS! After looking further into this great discovery by Nep it also turns out that "tactical changes" is also a thing! Like if you are struggling to break down a defense or stopping your opponent from getting through your defense you can make these "tactical changes" and if you combine thise with this new thing that Nep discovered (SUBS) it can really help. Amazed that this hasn't always been a part of the game! Must have been a sneaky update by EA! Jeez.

I make it a habit to try to use all 5 subs every game. At bare minimum 3-4 subs per game usually once around 60th min and again around 72nd min. Fresh legs + different playstyles from players subbed in can change the team outlook positively.

Hi Nep, am running an account doing exclusively Walsall evos. It’s been super good watching my players grow from 50 and 60 odd ratings to the 84-87 rated whirlpool evos are stuck at now. My selfish wishes are a few bronze to useable evos for players I haven’t used yet and also being able to do two evos at once, differently to you all evos are great for my lower rated players so it can be extremely time consuming to complete all the evos available.

The amount of people I play against that done make a single sub is WILD. I started noticing it a few weeks back and idk if people just think their best players with low stamina will outperform their bench or what but it’s crazy how people could go into a game without decent cover on their bench.

The idea of not touching your defenders is bad advice in my opinion, even though it may seem counterintuitive the best way I’ve found to defend was actually by being aggressive, pressing high, but the key is player switching You need to be pro active when defending not reacting that’s why player switching is key, need to be able to quickly switch players to cut off passing lanes and apply pressure to the ball holder That why I say aggressive defending is the way , press a bit with your centre back( don’t fully commit) , then cover the space your cb vacated with rb or dm to force them to do something, the whole point is just to be proactive so you’re one step ahead, you’re still going to concede , esp during the switch but I think that’s the best way Idk if this made sense, kinda rambled a bit, obviously there is no right way to defend though there’s probably merit to all different defending styles

Does anyone know what chemistry the subbed on players get? I remember in prevous FIFA's players you sub on get the 'base' chem.. which was 6 if I'm not mistaken. Does FC take into consideration the chem links of your subs or just puts them on zero chem either way? Unpopular opinion.. chemistry is a Hoax.. remember when in FIFA 16 or somewhere around there IF's would get 6 chem in game no matter what 😂

Arsenal past and present, not just Arsenals best ever. He was using the Martinez from season progress who was awful, and before that used the 83 Raya who’s shocking at this stage. Seaman isn’t in the game unfortunately
