Great feature to add for sure, but I still think they couldve implemented it better for triple screens like on Assetto Corsa where you can change the FSR preset on the center screen and the side screens, so for example you can run ultra preset for the center monitor to keep the quality high but performance or balanced preset on the side screens for the fps gains.

I'm on triple 1440p using an AMD 5600xt. The balanced mode looked horrible, it honestly seemed to be bugged like it was running at a much lower res and not upscaling. The quality mode looks good and I am running it with a decent fps boost. I've been waiting for this for a while, glad iRacing implemented it!

Im only running 1080p, but i went ahead and limited my fps at 120, because the i7 and 3060 combo, even on the triples was pushing 170-180 fps on a high quality tune.

Great to see, I am not per se struggling with FPS because of running pretty low settings (r5 5600x, 3080ti, 32GB fast ram) to maintain 144fps @ triple 1440p 99% of the scenarios. Maybe I can get some more eye candy while still pumping out the frames.

I just tried this with my Rift S and is looking very bad even on FSR Ultra . The implementation of FSR in Assetto Corsa is much better. In AC is actually looking sharper in VR with FSR .

I couldn't get this to work on my 3080 Ti properly. It's like it wasn't expanding the lower resolution to fit my screen (triple monitors.) Though I didn't try disabling SMP, I'll try that next.

How FSR looks is highly dependent on your settings, resolution, etc. It can look great and double your fps. It can also make it look like hell. Many factors involved. If you're trying to run iracing on a 5600xt with triple 1440p monitors, FSR is a godsend. If you're running at 1080p, I thought ultra looked the same and gave a slight fps raise. I run triple 1440p with a 3080ti/5800x3d. I could tell a difference, albeit slight on balanced but it did give a significant fps bump. I dont need more fps, I can typically run graphics mostly maxed and pull high fps, but Ultra looked the same. I could see no difference in image quality with trip 1440p monitors so why not use it. It's free FPS. Still pull more fps than I need in a race but when we have 30 cars lined up at the start, I see triple digit fps instead of the drops down under 100. They've improved FSR on iracing in updates as well.

I tried this yesterday and had very poor results visually. I'm running triple 1080p and don't recommend this unless you run a higher resolution. Even with FSR Ultra @1080p, the image was very poor. There was a lot of aliasing in the distance and blurriness on the dashboard. It was quite distracting. If you're at 1080p, it's best to run native and turn down settings unless you can live with the visual issues. I couldn't stop focusing on it, so I reverted back to my previous native resolution settings as they were sharper and I was still able to maintain at least 60fps.

@@DanSuzuki I actually am since I’m on a 1080ti. I wasn’t able to upgrade during the pandemic so I’m a little behind on my GPU. I use the in game DRS to keep me at at least 60fps during races. I can maintain over 100 during test sessions but I frequently drop to 60 in races. FSR did give me more FPS, but the visual cost was too high for my liking.

I tried it only once so far but it was a meme for me. It only downscaled the resolution and did nothing else. So I just had a pixel mess so I had to change it back and restart iRacing so it's shut off again. Maybe it was the SMP thing as well but appearently it doesn't do what it should for everyone. I'll have a look into it a few weeks later since I fortunately don't have any trouble with low frames.

Hi Dan, I turn these settings on and when I load into the car, the screens go black. I can see my overlays and virtual mirror and other iRacing messages however, everything else is black? Have you every seen this? I have a 10850k and a 3080TI

while I was testing cars to buy I tried to use fsr with oculus cv1... after enabling it I have sen image only in my left eye... hud and ui was there in right eye, just there was black in place of enything that was track. Will try disabling smp, and going up in resolution as it was set to 1080p (if that matters much in vr)... still variable fps. But that just confirms how bad cv1 drivers are (got ryzen 5600 and rx6900xt... )

I got a Samsung Odissey and i had to shut down motion blur with FSR on. If not, it's juste horrible, just like i was driving with 2 liters of red wine in my blood... Without Motion Blur, it works fine, but, with some tracks , even with FSR set on Ultra, it's weird (Le Mans for example)... The colors look too clear, as if i had the sun on my face. But, in Laguna Seca it's fine. I use an RTX 3060ti, maybe, FSR is better with AMD cards ?

Hi dan, i am on 11700KF with 3080 Zotac with 1440p 32" triples - but when i switch FSR/DLSS on - i will loose 30-40fps instead of gain some performance. I am latest GPU driver and excatly same problem i have with ACC - there is no improvement in terms of FPS when FSR/DLSS is ON. FSR in AC works perfectly...Can you help pls?

Don't you have to lower the resolution within the game settings as well? Wouldn't adding FSR to the same resolution picture decrease the framerate? I ask because when running triples, I cannot select a lower resolution that doesn't shrink my picture.

Yeah, it's great. I had to modify it a bit to make the shifts "shorter" but in the newer versions this has been fixed.

Doesn't work with VR unfortunately, hopefully they will patch that. Meanwhile you can use fsr in VR with OpenXR toolkit. The fps gain was HUGE :)

i do nto understand, maybe doing something wrong, but FSR quality looks like shit immediatly adter i turn it on, restart the game. I downloaded FSR 1.0 but this is not the way as should work on nvidia 5760x1080 resolution.... I've tried DLSS on laptop with games those support it and it was really good but here i got instant worse resolution than native - maybe in nvidia panel need to setup something? to be frankly even on this video it looks bad... so these perfomance gain i think is not worth anything and after update iR runs worse approx 10-15 fps lower, some shit is going here... smell a poop :D
