the thing is, those calcharo dps calculations require perfect rotations of 3 heavy attacks per liberation every single time. if you don't play calcharo optimally, or can't even land his full rotation, or in aoe situations, yinlin's personal damage becomes a lot more important

this is true! though in the existing challenging aoe content, there is always ONE enemy with a higher health pool than the others, still making higher dpr VERY relevant. Also, this does assume optimal gameplay, but that goes both ways. if you play cal wrong, who says you can't play yinlin wrong? i don't really agree with the argument that you can play one perfectly and the other awfully.

It already helped that I had Electro DMG echoes on the Moonlit set. There's only two 3-cost mobs on the Void Thunder set so it's taking much longer to get Electro DMG on that set, so I have to run 2 piece Void and 2 piece Lingering on my Calcharo if I want Electro DMG echoes

I'm changing Calcharo from Electro to Attack set, so she's getting my Electro pieces for now while I build him and other characters. One day I'll go back and build Moonlit.

I agree with this vid, BUT... I like playing her on field cuz she is mommy yinlin not to mention I already had a void thunder set with 60-240 crit stats (included her crit weapon) with a total of 20% basic attack DMG bonus substats ready before she even came out xD Ain't refarming anytime soon haha

both are good! more optimal doesnt always mean you need to completely refarm, esp if you have great pieces this early in the game.

I´ve been usig the thunder set on her mainly because i had many left from when I farmed for Calcharo, my Yinlin is now fully build so while I understand the energy set is overall better, i simply do not have the materials to make the change, maybe with the mini rework of echos on 1.1 i´ll make the switch

Gave up on void thunder for yin cuz my cal isn't even fully built yet My cloud set also has way better stats than void so I ran that on her before even doing more extensive research Imo void is good if u want big pp dmg buh in a complete team I feel cloud wins out because now she fulfills her sub dps role completely as it should be

This is false, he literally explains it with data. Don’t spread your false info of not knowing basic math or the game to others. Yinlin would need god tier thundering set with good quick swap mechanics so 99% should just play moonlit as it’s easier to get to the theoretical dmg. The only case you’ll run thunder is if she’s a main dps.

@@hoodiejolo I'm trying to prevent that bro, dude says himself all you do is transfer 20% damage from Yinlin to Calcharo, or whoever your main damage dealer is, but here's the thing most of Yinlins damage comes from her Forte that's why her DPS is so high. Your losing damage overall for a big number, that's it

@@rezkel7404 the timings of the damage has nothing to do with it, the big picture is yes, assuming you're playing the game correctly, its 200kdpr losing 20% vs 400kdpr gaining 20%. its just a damage gain. if you wanna provide an example of how i'm wrong, feel free.
