Dude, I know you’ve mentioned “just showing up” before, but something about the way you convey your message in this video is seriously gold. I think it’s the gym analogy, but this video should seriously be shared everywhere. Thanks for taking the time to create this video! 🙌🏼

Right. It's universal. It's like: Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can. :-) I actually came here to find a video that's more recent than 2014 that can tell me how to make my Mac camera look better for Facebook Live. I guess iGlasses no longer exists?

Thanks Caleb!! As a perfectionist I can't hear this enough. Just freaking ship it and get 'er done and iterate next time.

Yeah, I find the last 10% takes just as long as the first 90% sometimes. And it matters sometimes, but not all the time.

Time is your scarcest resource... Yup, definitely hear you on that *hides his mini desk that's chock full of various projects in various states* Everyday repetition/dedication/go-out-and-just-do-it... It's a really good habit to get into, and while the improvement may feel gradual, or not quite there, just looking back even six months can make one go "wow, really? that's a huge difference!" Having things "ready to go" can be helpful too, if possible. This can be things like splitting space on your miniatures workstation so there's dedicated spaces for assembly as well as painting, or for a photography/video kit having batteries charged, in the camera, and camera (plus lenses you like the most) in the bag if you want to go out. Nothing slows me down more for such hobbies than having to spend twenty minutes tidying up or gathering gear (or worse, realizing a battery is almost dead and having to wait for it to charge!) Plenty of good advice in here!

Very encouraging, found you after looking up about how to look better in a webcam, and was so glad to see you still make videos in 2020!! I've got 700 KZbin followers right now, and I want to keep making videos but I feel like I will never become a successful KZbinr based on the rate I'm going at right now. I've been commenting to get the majority of my follows, but feel like it may not be a good long term strategy. Anything else I could try as I keep moving forward into the future?

What most helped me grow in the beginning was to make videos about topics or equipment that get a lot of search traffic. And any collaborations help with growth too.
