I think it’s funny how people evaluate receivers/tight ends. If there is another talent with them, they are better because the other talent distracts defenses. But if the player doesn’t do well, we say that player was taking all of the targets and that’s why they didn’t do well. I think ultimately WR are overvalued because of this. There is a case where they see less usage because of other talents, but having more talent on the team generally doesn’t mean they are going to do better

I second this. In the preseason, they were stacking 2 and 3 tight ends on the line, and now Russell Wilson is going to be cold pressed into starting because Fields hasn't matured even 4 seconds. This simply means there won't be a good quarterback, and they're going to over commit to the run meaning all of the receivers and tight ends are not going to be featured as receivers. I think the player to own on Pittsburgh is Jaylen Warren, who is a damn good receiver and going to get some carries.

@jcass197017 күн бұрын
Like the take, but have to disagree on some if it. Guys like Kelce and Laporta have shown us they can put up No. 1 numbers and Kittle finishes top 5 more often than not. To me, they are the elite level. I put Kincaid in the same group as McBride, Engram, etc. They are trending to put up more numbers, but haven't done it yet. After that it doesn't really matter to me. Andrews had 1 good year, and is a walking injury. Pitts had an awesome rookie year, and that's it. I'm not saying these guys can't finish top 3, but (from what we've seen) they are more likely to not finish top 3. That's too much risk for a top 5 pick.
@willlat315 күн бұрын
Engram was 2nd in ppr last year... like just a few points behind laporta. If you think laporta has proved it why not him?
@michaeljoshuaholmes448211 күн бұрын
Engram was literally TE 1b in both PPR formats last year. And for Pitts... if you have someone throwing you the ball who was DEAD LAST in clean pocket, 1st down success rate, EPA and catchable ball rate, it doesn't matter how good you are. You can't magically jump 6 feet in the air or leap laterally 10 feet because some "pro" can't throw a decent ball. Desmond Ridder should've never been in the league. He is that bad. You don't win competitive fantasy football leagues by taking guys that "have shown us they can put up No.1 numbers" in the past. You have to see the deeper structure as to why some guys have underperformed and take strategic chances on them when their situation has drastically changed for the better.
