I love this doctrine, but there’s so much I don’t understand. Why the emphasis on being born again in the gospels? What is the born again process? Is it simply revelation of this fact that we are all included?

The fact that we are included already!! It's not a transaction process as we've turned it into. As 1 peter says. We have been born again to a living hope through Jesus christ. We had nothing to do with our natural birth and just like Nicodemus is so confused.. We had nothing to do with our spiritual birth. And as it gos on to say with man this is impossible but with God all things are possible!!! All of creation is in him and always was. He is the alpha and omega!!
