If we are already reconciled to God and just need to believe the good news and give thanks to God in all we do, what does John mean when he told Nicodemus that he must be born again?

i get some of comments questioning but we still want people to meet the savior and life the life he intends for then so plenty of reason to teach Jesus to proclaim their innocence and show them a fraction of the goodness of Hod through our lives . we don’t throw the baby out with the bath water. we don’t get rid of the scripture because it is finished. they are how we have the story.
