I love your cutting method. I have thick and wavy hair that hairdressers here where i live apparently can't handle. I used to have this cut except i had bangs that came to my eyebrows. I did have layers all though out the head though so my wavy/curly hair would curl with just using some mousse and drying my hair upside down. My top layers would start with the bang length and continue down my head. I never had bad hair days and then my hairdresser passed away and no one else could follow her guide line and after very bad and uneven haircuts i ended up with a very short pixie. I recently found an older man who was open to listening so i began the grow out in August. I now have hair down to the bottom of my ears and have the beginning of my shag. Can you do a video where have a little shorter bang, i have to be able to see and wear glasses and do layer's throughout the head. My hairdresser is willing to observe a video, he only has pictures now. I have to have alot more layers than you did here or my hair just doesn't lay right and have movement. It's heavy and thick.

Hi Summer, I went through cancer a year ago so I have chemo hair. It was really curly (which I never had!) and now it is flatter on top and curly on bottom and back. I also have alopecia. I’m a mess! I’ve been to a couple hairdressers and they really haven’t given me any advice. You just say, would you like well I don’t know because I’ve never had my hair like this . It’s always been very straight.. any suggestions would be helpful. Thank you Carolyn

THIS!!!!!! I have tried returning to my hairdresser after keeping my hair in one of your cuts for two years. All she kept saying was...wow, you really didn't do bad with this cut. Needless to say three months in I hate my freaking hair. I have given it time to get used to the new cut. Which is supposed to feather back and doesn't. This is the cut i have been waiting for and will be doing today. Fingers crossed.

I did the cut for thick hair. My hair dresser told me she couldn't cut my hair to feather back...??????I had a similar cut a few.. maybe more than a few years ago and I loved it. How do you make sure not to take anything off of the perimeter when you do the layers? Also, have you seen the Manes by Mell pigtail cut? I keep wondering how putting the pigtails in different positions on the head would change the results (high versus low, towards the front or back). Is there a way to cut the perimeter easily using low pigtails?
