superb tone, wonderful phrasing..... I could listen to this 20 times in a row finding new bits of joy each time. It does , however, feed my SBA lust, which is not a good thing.

@maxoutman147 Hi, thanks for your comments. In answer to your questions: (1) I currently play on an old Otto Link HR mouthpiece - it has the Slant Signature but it is actually pre-"Slant" Tone Edge and it has a serial number on the side. The chamber is huge and it gives a nice warm, round sound. I also enjoy playing the Gerber HR mouthpiece and the Aizen SO mouthpiece. (To be continued...)

@maxoutman147 (Continued) (2) I really don't know much about metal pieces but a good friend of mine really enjoys the Ted Klum piece. I also used to have a V16 piece that had been nicely refaced. (3) As with all my clips, I recorded this on my iPhone --- no mics involved! Thanks again and all the best, Simon

@jimidolphy Hi Katz! Thanks for your comment. The STM was originally an 8 but it has been refaced by Ted Klum to .104. Actually I don't usually like to play on metal but this is a nice piece!

On Polkadots and Moonbeams I hear the influence of Getz. On this I hear Dexter Gordon. Amazing stuff.

Brilliant playing ... and it certainly doesn't hurt to have the set-up you identify. A couple of questions: (1) you say you don't usually play metal mouthpieces. What's your HR mouthpiece of choice? (2) If you wanted to capture that Alexander/Potter/Ravi sound in a non-vintage metal piece, is there something you'd gravitate toward - Guardala? Jody Chi? Klum? (3) what mic are you using here? Thanks. Great work. KZbin is realizing its potential as an access to art with stuff like this.

@liamjazz Hey Liam, yeah this is a SBA I traded my VI for. It has a really complex sound and it really sings. How are you man? Any progress on the Japan move?

Otto Link 8 is .110. Are you saying it was refaced smaller?
