I love how Armando says ''Stay down! ... I said stay down!'' and the way he look up at the ceiling, clearly contemplating what should he do. He was confused about his mom's way of doing thing the whole time, why spare the 1 dangerous dude for last?, why is Mike more important than the rest?, why does he have to suffer but not the others? why is he the only one to get a message? etc. Armando always wanted a dad, was crying when reading an article about his supposed dad - the drug lord, tried to live up to his legacy, and now here is a man, a cop - who by the way just spared his life - telling him HE is his father and offers him to stop fighting ... poor boy.

The kid knew something was off about Mike early on. He couldn't clearly discern what bothered him - but everytime he saw Mike he definitely felt weird; Mike was way too much like him - hyperactive, agile, strong, inclined to violence... The best example is when Armando assassinates the Cap. He had Mike in the crosshairs - and you could see he wanted to kill him then and there, but he didn't. And it wasn't his mom's orders that kept him from pulling the trigger that day - it was the feeling of uncomfortable uncertainty he was starting to feel progressively increase every time he encountered Mike. Like seeing his own image on a the rippling surface of a disturbed lake.

@@KncperseusThere is a deleted scene in which Armando straight up asks Isabel ''Mama, who is he?'', but Isabel refuses to tell and replies like ''Don't worry, my love. It will be over tonight!'' ... then Armando looks into a mirror.

Came in here to post: I WAS a really big Will Smith fan (since way back in his Fresh Prince days). I WAS so much a Will Smith fan I can't think of anything he's done that I have not seen. Alas, right after Smith's criminal assault at the Oscars I vowed to BOYCOTT any project in which Will is or was directly/indirectly involved. My boycott includes any endeavor where Will Smith was even remotely a participant (e.g., as an actor, producer, or director).

At that time, she was his wife, and Rock's so-called "humor" at her medical condition was causing her visible distress. Will Smith was completely right to smack that little rat's mouth shut.
