It’s possible 079 isn’t talking to the player, because if he released 682 it would cause damage to the sites systems, and would attract more mtf to the area, instead he used him as a last ditch effort to lure more mtf outside with D-9341. I like to think that the gas sprayed outside was also being sprayed inside to keep 682 contained, with the outside gas used to push back D-9341. (Also the prompt for 079 talking is called “TestroomWarning” which means he’s warning the player to not open the door)

@@kindalegacyys_fr they are 100% friends, however, their friendship is founded off of the fact that they both hate humanity (mainly the foundation) but I still don’t see why 079 would let 682 out, especially because of the points I have presented. I’m going to take this a step further and say that 079 never would of let out 682. If the player escapes to out of gate B and doesn’t turn off the remote warhead detonation, 682 gets out, destroys a helicopter, they announce they are going to blow up the site, other helicopters leave to avoid the blast, kaboom, game over. But if they die to 049 the death screen says that the player (as a zombie) was killed by the mtf, or if the player dies to 939 it reads as followed “all four escaped SCP-939 specimens have been captured and recontained successfully. Three of them made quite a mess at Storage area 6. A cleaning team as been dispatched.” If 682 had gotten out and the warhead was detonated successfully then these death screens, and a bunch of others that go into detail on how the player died and what the foundation discovered from their remains,(008,012,035s tentacles,096,205,294 if the player inputs quantum gas,carbon,or element 0, 914, 1162, 106s pocket dimension) meaning that either someone else suddenly turned off the remote warhead despite the fact that the gate B ending shows that didn’t happen, or 682 never got out. Could the mtf quickly handle the entire site of breached scps and in the end deal with 682? Yes. Could they have also just not detonated the site? Yes. But from what we have seen at the Gate B ending (and the fact that Epsilon 11/Nine tailed fox is canonically only made up of a few members) It’s unlikely. The main thing with SCP containment breach is that a lot of the lore is shrouded with [REDACTED] being used, hell, there was a massive debate on which site the breach started (there was something that said the scps were moved from site 19 to where the player is) you don’t have to instantly believe that entire paragraph, (you don’t even have to read it) make your own theory’s that will be more creative than me saying “computer doesn’t want Lizard boi out”

079 wasnt actually helping you, cuz he mentions only Gate B, which has 2 endings which arent that different you die in both if u go to Gate B nukes on die, nuke off die 079 actually wants to make you die rather than helping u, even tho he opens both Gate B and Gate A.

@pie655 have you even watched both endings? if you dont turn off nukes yourself then they remotely activate the nuke and if you do turn off remote detonation for both nukes then they nuke the site and you die

He doesn't want you to get out. plus, if you play the game, he actively tries to murder you by opening or closing doors to make SCPs get to you.

scp 079 is worried the player might in some way hinder 682's escape. because of this, he's trying to "demotivate" the player from doing so by saying this

I think 079 was talking to 682 about him not letting him out, but after we reach Gate-B he successfully escaped. (disclaimer: This is just a theory)

If 682 was let out then it would also result in the destruction of 079 because 682 would either destroy the site to oblivion, or he would be terminated by the foundation afterwards
