I don't get the people who feel the need to say something negative. If you don't like it, just move on. What made them so bitter? Probably their lives suck in some way. I feel sorry for them. Just keep doing you, Mike! There will be people who like it and sometimes there will be haters. But they are the problem, not you.

Exactly Mike, i feel the same way. I started playing around with recording at the age of 20. I am now 65 and still love doing it, snd doing it practically everyday because im retired. I use a Tascam DP 24SD along with my old 45 year old Yamaha for some extra mixing features. And like you, im just doing this for myself. It takes me close to a month to finish a song because i want to make it so perfect. I'll go over and over a guitar or drum track because something doesn't sound right. No one else would notice it except me! I'm always thinking that maybe the song could be recorded by a famous artists snd i would make alot of money. Ha,ha,😅😅😅, (good luck with that.) I don't put anything on Sound Cloud or KZbin. The only people that hear my songs are my wife and my sister. And of course they're gonna say it's good. I think the songs are decent but i am my worst critic. Thats great that you have 10,000 people liking your songs. If i just had ONE stranger that said my songs were good I'd be happy as hell. Lol 😅 Thanks for the videos, i enjoy watching them. 👍

Cant tell you how much i appreciate your Channel/Advice on Tascam equipment, i do it all for ME i dont care if someone likes it or not (they usually do tho). A small radio station opened up close to my house,so i recorded a cd and took it to them,they play it in rotation now, probably because im a local,i dont care its just fun listening to me on the Radio..Thanks for all your help big guy,Cheers and much luck to you..RR

Hey Mike - I'm thinking of getting a DP-24 or 32... just as a 8 channel in tracker for fun around the studio. I would then dump all the recordings to the computer for mixing. Talk me out of it !

Hang on, I have to stop laughing and catch my breath.....Okay. I personally LOVE my DP32, it's got everything that I need to create great music that I can then happily stream to the world! You won't like it. You won't like the 8 input constraint when you can get more inputs with other devices. That will bother you for the rest of your life. You won't like the fact that it is completely digital. You also will hate the built in mastering app. I just know you, you will!! How'd I do?

Hey Mike, could you point me to a video you made showing how to use the send outs to add external effects on the dp24? Ok I just saw your video from a month ago. Why use the stereo bus instead of arming the tracks? Would that be the way to do it if you're mixing down?

You can send the effects to a track if you want. I generally don't add those types of effects (bounce back and reverb) until I do the mixdown which is why I use the stereo bus. Also, if I want those effects to be present but not get recorded, I do that as well.
