I used to pass a graveyard on the way to work to a job I didn't like for 17 years. One day was worse than usual and as I passed the graveyard I felt I needed to rethink my situation and appreciate what I had more. After that each day passing the graveyard made me happier and happier. I'm not saying anybody there spoke to me but for a little while each morning I felt it was my obligation to seek out joy and appreciation for the treasures I possessed and not let the ******** get me down.

Just found your channel and DAMN, your cinematography skills are insane. I feel like my mind's eye is expanding and learning about shot composition as I watch. Every shot feels filled with intention and the way you edit them together just adds to that.

Always keep creating something no matter what. Because as you create, a light simultaneously grows. With that light, we find our own way. I was convinced that I wouldn't be able to shoot anything anymore today. I said "oh okay, I can't make it". I will never be the person who I want to be. Then this video appeared on my homepage. As if to make me give up on giving up. thanks. You inspire.

What. The. Heck?! I can't ever imagine your stuff getting even better than it already is, and then you just drop it on us. Boom. I'm not sure I'll ever understand how you do this. Purely incredible.

Beautiful video thank you for giving us this one. The shot with the mother bending down on the street talking to her child really got to me. Nothing reminds me more of the impermanence of life than being a dad and having kids. Things change so so fast and the person they were yesterday they might not be today. Together you are making sense of the world and letting love and kindness guide you through every moment of parenthood is the only way of fully appreciating how freakin blessed one is to have kids. Thanks for that reminder ❤

i don't think i'll ever get over your ability for visual storytelling, shaffer. loved loved loved the style in this one. also had a mini jump scare at 4:18 that you might know something i don't about my death year but then remembered that i was born in 1996 so that's not a prediction meant for me haha

Wow what a beautiful piece. I love that this is happening now on KZbin as almost a response to all the surface level content dominating KZbin and most of social media. I've been on KZbin since it started and it's so great to see this genre of content crop up of what I like to refer to as "video art". Keep at it, you've definitely earned my sub, maybe one day I'll gather up the courage to make my own content again.

You are great at telling stories. I find myself thinking a lot of these thoughts. Life is so weird. I too have always liked going to graveyards, even when I was little kid, my grandmother would take me to the local graveyard in the little village town she lived in (in Portugal) and there would be pictures on some of the gravestones. Some of them were little kids. She would tell me the story of how they died and it made such an impression on me. You have a new subscriber :)

That's why Christianity is different though. You're not expected to fix yourself because you're not capable. Just feel that reverence and give up control. God will make you whole in time.
@CharChar2121

I don't like that. I'd rather live a life where I have agency, where I matter. That said, I can see the appeal of giving yourself to God.
@SoybeanAK
@SoybeanAK 7 ай бұрын
@@CharChar2121 that's the point. You're being asked to give up the illusion of control, and not everyone will. But ultimately it isn't about what feels good, it's about what's true.
i'm sorry but i hate this...
