'You're out of order!' OVP lawyer removed from House probe after refusing to take oath

The head of the Office of the Vice President’s (OVP) legal team was escorted out of a House hearing on Monday (November 11) after she refused to take her oath and insisted that she was not a resource person formally invited to the congressional investigation.
Atty. Emily Rose Torrentira, chief of the OVP’s Legal Affairs Division, was called to explain why she refused to receive the subpoenas served at the OVP’s office in Mandaluyong.
But when told to take her oath before furthering her explanation, Torrentira refused and did not raise her right hand alongside other OVP officials despite being directed to do so. - Report from Katrina Domingo, ABS-CBN News

The legislative inquiry should not aim for the investigation whether or not a person is guilty of any crime, a matter appears more within the province of the court rather than legislature.
