I remember when I found out that my little sister was pregnant. I was playing Call of Duty Black Ops: Cold War online with a friend and my sister called. I took one ear out of my headset so I could talk to her. She started talking to me about some anti-malware software that I had for her. Then she came out and said "You're going to be an uncle!" I lost it! I was about to eliminate another player and had my finger on the trigger on the PS4 controller when she told me this. The next thing I knew the other player turned around and eliminated me. I wound up losing an entire round of kill confirmed, but I didn't care! I was so happy! I couldn't wait! I remember waiting and waiting. Then when we were near her due date, I began to think to myself "My niece will be born soon." The next day I was off work and I got a phone call early in the morning from my mom. I was too tired to answer, but considering my mom doesn't call me early when I am off work, I knew she was here! I got a text a few seconds later that I read when I was fully awake. It said "Good morning Uncle." I was so happy! I worked at a grocery store and was bragging to all of the customers for the next few weeks that I was an uncle! I remember the first time I held my niece! I was in tears as this little child was asleep in my arms for almost an hour. Then I got to feed her. My niece is healthy as can be and almost two years old! On the other side of things, I am happily engaged and my fiance has an older sister who already had a daughter. My future niece never wanted anything except a little brother or sister. She never wanted toys, or games, or clothes. She just wanted to be a big sister. When she was seven, she got her wish. Her mom got pregnant. We found out early but she showed up to Thanksgiving dinner at my mother-in-laws wearing a shirt that said "Promoted to big sister!" It took some of the relatives a little too long to figure it out. But when they did they were overjoyed. My future niece wanted a little sister, but was just as happy even though she got a brother. She is the best big sister in the world who loves to feed, bathe, and play with her little brother. She loves him with all her heart. (She doesn't like to share him a lot. She always has to be the one to play with him and feed him.) She is the most selfless little girl in the world because her whole life now revolves around her brother.

My favorite story is from my brother & sister in law. They had to go through extreme measures to have a baby. After a few years they tried again. Again extreme steps. They tried & tried. In exhaustion they decided to stop. They were very sad but accepted that they had a healthy child & that would be enough. Time passed. My brother began to notice that his wife was exhibiting certain behaviors. He screwed up his courage & told his wife that he thought she was pregnant. She was angry as this was touching upon a very sad subject. Any way she took the test & she was indeed pregnant. Eventually, they had a healthy baby boy. This might be the only time that the husband informed the wife that she was pregnant.

I haven't heard a Pregnancy announcement story yet as unique as the opportunity I was granted. I told my wife she was pregnant... within the hour of the act. 😉 😎 Earlier that day, even though our life position wasn't the best, we had the bio clock talk. Might be different with other guys, but IMHO there is nothing as moving as the woman you love grabbing you by the face, pulling you close & telling you in no uncertain terms, "I LOVE you & I WANT TO HAVE YOUR BABY!" At that point in our lives, various circumstances had made "couple time" rarer than either of us preferred, but that night.... My goal was set & I was HYPER focused. EVERY SINGLE MOVE was dedicated to fulfilling the desire of her request. Afterwards, we're laying side by side exhausted in a now nearly silent room, just enjoying the afterglow ... As I'm on the brink of that final sliding drop off into Zzzztown I distinctly hear this adorable giggling laugh of a baby... My eyes SNAPPED OPEN and I JUST KNEW. I looked at my love & said "Honnnnnnney..." Without opening her eyes, she smiled & answered "Hmmmmm?" and I continued with "We just made a Baby!" She thought I was teasing her about the earlier talk, so I got a "Hey!" & a playful swat to the shoulder. I told her "You think I'm kidding? OK but MARK MY WORDS..." 6-7 weeks later, she makes the suggestion we stop at our fav park for a stroll. As we finish the walk & are headed back to the car, she suddenly says "Remember a few weeks back how ya said to 'mark your words'????" and there were other confirming signs too. GP & deliver doc both estimated a conception date & got it wrong... LOL! My wife tried to correct them over & over By our count, our daughter was born 9 months TO THE DAY. Many months later, I walked into the bathroom as my wife was holding our happy baby wrapped in a towel after her bath. She was having her play peekaboo covering her face with the edge of the towel, hiding the reflection in the mirror. I just stood there, soaking in my little girl sayin "MA" to my wife's reflection in the mirrored shower door. I prayed a silent "Thanks" Then my little girl noticed she could see I was standing in the doorway... She looked closer at my reflection, then turned her head to look straight at me, then back at the mirror.... and then she giggled. My knees suddenly went weak.... & HAD to lean heavily against the door frame to remain standing. That was the EXACT giggle I heard the night she was conceived.
