Yeah sounds impossible, yet with Christina Ann Tucker, I've come to the conclusion that financially anything is possible. Using 3% for future inflation to determine costs during retirement is nuts! You must believe Powell when he says our current inflation rate is only 2.5%? In reality, currently, it's closer to 7% for retirees. And when hyperinflation kicks in down the road we are all in trouble, especially the retirees. Sorry that dog don't hunt with me

I got a new roof in 2007. It was $8000. I got a new roof this year, 2024. It was $16,000. Same house. Same roof. In 2007, I earned $80,127. In 2023, I earned $87040. It's harder and harder to save.
