To everyone who's studying with this music: Checklist: • A bottle of water, at least 1 liter. Your brain works better if it has enough water and drinking helps you to concentrate💧 • Your charger. You sometimes don't even notice that your device's battery is going down, so better have it plugged in all the time🔋 • Your headphones. You will be able to focus more with headphones because it blocks background noises. Also, if it's a late night study session, you won't wake up anyone🎧 • a tea or coffee. Coffee keeps you awake, green or black tea can make you feel more awake as well.☕ • Your study/work stuff: your laptop/tablet/phone , a few pens, paper or whatever you need.⌨ •Anything else you could need, what about a heat pad, a blanket, a good lamp, and your pet so you have a study buddy (if you have one)🐈 Reminder: After an hour, you should stand up and walk a bit around. Better stop the music or put on different music for the break. Open your window, even if it's cold outside. Fresh air will make it better, trust me. You could also lay your head down on your desk for ten minutes and listen to a podcast. Or, if you have to read a book, listen to the audiobook of it. You can also listen to the audiobook while doing another thing, that's even better than listening to music while reading the book. 📖 I hope y'all had a good day, if not, that's okay too. Remember to take care of yourself and try to get some sleep tonight 😴🧸 (not mine! but copy paste it around!!)

R.E.M. SLEEP. Yes a portal to a different set of TIME-SPACE; a SPACE of healing, a SPACE of quiet, a SPACE of inspiration. Don't try to force this SPACE to be what you want. Just, accept this SPACE and let it fill your Spirite. With Luck and The Hand of God, a bit of this SPACE'S DUST might wake with you 😶🌫️. Fascinating that the DUST of this SPACE will not be found on the shelves of the Bodleian. The Elves collect it every night and parcel it out to those in greatest need .

Dark Academia Therapist here sharing Mindfulness. Allow yourself the time to engage in your center. Take a slow deep breath through your nose and exhale through your mouth. Slow, count 1 (as you inhale), 2 and 3 - hold that breathing- and, release on 4 - 5 - 6, holding once again - and then drop that belly... and go in on 1 (as you inhale), 2 and 3 - hold that breathing- and, release on 4 - 5 - 6, holding once again - and then drop that belly. "Great job!" Repeat as many times you need to activate your whole parasympathetic system.... *It's okay to yawn* Y A W N *Smiling face* Told you, hahaha. This exercise is great to release internal discomforts and other somatic symptoms that may be causing us stress. Now that you have your breathing exercise mastered, let's go to that body of yours. Very subtle, very mindful, very demure, raise your chin and straightened your gaze, your face, your posture. Think about your head and with your thoughts focus on your crown....Yes, we do have a crown. Think about it for 5 seconds and check in with your crown in 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1... What do you feel? Exhausted? Drained? Okay? Heavy? Let's go slow and move towards the middle, feel the center of your head, how is it today? Hot? Cold? Heavy? Check in with your center in 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1... What do you feel? Have you've been sleeping? That's such a good question. Let open up and go through our temples, to our sides...slide your thoughts slowly...opening an invisible umbrella. Check in with your temples in 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1... What do you feel? Any headaches? As you go through this process remember the importance of connecting with your body. Moving slowly towards our eyes, take a deep breath and Check in with your eyes in 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1... What do you feel? Tired? Heavy? Tearful? Give yourself time to understand. Down right is our nose! And what a sensory instrument is this! Inhale and go in slow; countdown with me as you inhale 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1... What are things that you could smell? Anything in particular? Now open up that umbrella again and let's go the sides...! Cheekbones! How nice, Check in with your cheekbones in 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1... Such a strong bone structure. Let finish checking in with our face...lets try sliding down slowly towards our mouth, check in with all your teeth in 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 - 1... What do you feel?... any pain? any jaw clenching? any tooth aches? Lastly, check in with your jaw and chin.... breath slow, take your time. By the end of this session you might have not noticed that you checked in and scanned a lot of muscles and areas in your head and face. Take that into account and take a break. Each day is a brand new opportunity to check in with different parts of your body. An whatever happens, don't forget to breathe.
