So he looks for broken girls that he can manipulate, belittle and “save” all at the same time. He wants to screw with their minds and at the same time, screw his own mind knowing full well what he does can never be considered love and he knows this, he can practically see the future, and once he’s decided he can’t be on the rollercoaster anymore, he starts revealing little sides of his real self to them, knowing full well he will be rejected and then he finally accomplished the inevitable, which is to kill his mother (and slowly another part of himself) through the women he’s with.

I think it's guilt. The only difference is this time it was actually self-defense. So, if he isn't haunted by the guilt, it would probably be because he felt completely justified.

It’s just incredible how much my opinions changed about Sherry and Cary throughout the season. Both as individual characters and the relationship between them. That’s what I call character arcs/development! Truly impressive. The rest of the season was a blast as well. I’m just talking about Sherry and Cary right now because their drastic improvement as characters was quite a surprise! I still think a cool alternate ending would've been if, after paralyzing Joe, Love locked him up in the cage and essentially did to him exactly what he did to Becks in S1. They could've even killed Joe off in a sort of parallel way, with him grabbing his hidden key from the cage, trying to get up the stairs, and dying at the top; as Love stands over him and he breathes his last dying breath, he sees his own face written across her features. In an epilogue Love could have moved somewhere else and now the narration would be from HER perspective, as she finds a "you" of her own, bringing the series to a close but continuing the overall cycle of awfulness. But I mean, this ending was also AMAZING 😍 Edit: Love's "you" in the epilogue could also have simply been Henry, because it would showcase how obsessive and unhealthy love isn't always of the "romantic" sort involving an obsessed stalker like Joe-often times it can be familial, and generational, and now Love has actually adopted that obsession from TWO "bloodlines"-the toxic maternal love of her own mother/family and the manipulative, delusional love of Joe. It would also close out the series with an unanswered question of nature vs. nurture, with Henry's unclear future being a great big question mark and a call to reflect on our own generational trauma as viewers.

Joe in my opinion never cared about Henry, not really. He was just an obstacle preventing Joe from leaving Love. Also he was a constant reminder that he was ultimately doomed to raise the kid right due to his own troubled upbringing. When he abandoned Henry it wasn’t a “romantic” sacrifice so Henry could have a better chance at life. He's always going to be chasing after a new obsession and killing anyone who gets in his way. What he tells himself in his narration and what he actually does are always at odds. He's an unreliable narrator after all.

@Cameryn Marrow Joe does want to be better but he doesn’t know how. His abandonment and lack of parenting fuels his lack of discipline. From a young age he developed a hero complex. He wants to be the good guy so bad but always seems to be the bad guy at the end of the day. He falls for women who are subjected to some kinda of trauma or abuse caused by others like his mom. The flashbacks show he kills because he feels it is the right thing to do and if he does not then eventually the person he wants to protect will continue to be harmed in some way or even killed like his school nurse. He thinks he’s the good cop, kills ppl with reason but he’s still the archetype of a psychopath. Still behind it all Joe is just looking for love and that love being returned. How ironic that his love interest name was Love but he eventually realized how love can get ugly if you do not fall in love for the right reasons. He pretty much falls for everyone and anyone who’s nice and shows him attention … so go figure he pretty much spun his own web of entanglement with Love. He’s gotta get that “are you flirting with me?” together; that’s his favorite line 😩🙄😂. Moving on to Love, she was basically a mirror of Joe. He hated Love because she was a reminder of the side of him he wanted to forget. Contrary to Joe, Love is a sociopath and killed without logical reason. She also has a hero complex but hers is deeper rooted in delusions and efforts to validate the lies she tells herself aka hypocrisy. She goes to extreme lengths to be the hero but sadly each time she looks more and more villainous with her lack of control. I honestly was ready for her to go somehow cause she created her own problems then blamed Joe. Although Joe was not perfect at least he tried to NOT kill people, he was definitely trying. Can’t really say the same for Love. She literally cheated first, got pregnant by that person and tried to kill everyone in town even the guy who showed her more affection than her husband … meanwhile Joe just trying to read and distract himself from the monster he impregnated and married. The sad thing about it is Love is right, no one will love Joe like her because she knows all of him. All of his other love interests know only the book store owner, neighbor, etc. Joe will probably keep spiraling until he is in jail or dead-all in his search of Love.

He expects from everyone to be a soul of an innocent judging every single one, and if any one dare to think of him or treat him just like how he are he starts the crazy questioning and then the murderous intentions will be activated 🙂 He doesn't love anyone his feelings are driven by cravings He is literally a psychopath who needs to be killed in season 4 No more of( ARE YOU FLIRTING WITH ME?!) 😂😂😂

Victoria's acting is outstanding especially when she finds out the truth about Joe and then tries to talk it through to him. They're spot on emotions of a lost , broken and a revengeful women. She proves that you can't just stand in front of the camera and simply say the lines. You need the bloody TALENT for it.

Its amazing how this season had me constantly flipping to Team Joe or Team Love. I was constantly saying “ok but they’re a PSYCHO!” And then im like “wait i kinda feel bad for them tho..” the story, the timeline, the plot, the characters, the acting This was absolutely insane. What a HUGE season. Like this was just massive. The web of interactions and characters. This was a priviledge to experience. Im so beyond curious on how season 4 is gonna go cause like.....what else can even happen now?????

I felt genuinely sad to see Love die. On paper we are not meant to like her, she’s rich, spoilt and a psychopathic murderer but this season the way we got to see different sides of her, like her real grief for her twin brother, and her hope that Joe loved her (even though she was cheating on him) this made her a real person. And when she died, I felt bad because I wish she could have seen herself and her actions and tried to focus on the things that she’s good at, rather than the evil side. After all she has a better moral compass than the people in that neighbourhood, to the point that she called them out, ironically on her last episode, completely ignoring her personality disorders. Anyways I’m sad to see her go. 😢
