Here’s one I think will work. I’m gonna try in my air fryer. Used to increase ingredients and bake in 13/9 pan Stuffed French Toast 1/2 loaf French bread cut into 1 inch cubes 1 8 oz pkg cream cheese cut into 1/2 inch cubes 1 lb strawberries sliced thick 6 eggs 1/2 cup of milk 1/3 or 1/2 cup of maple syrup 1 t. Vanilla 1/2 stick of butter melted Day before: Place French bread cubes on cookie sheet uncovered over night to dry the bread or buy day old Night before cooking: Spray baking pan Spread 1 layer of bread cubes in bottom of pan Drop half cream cheese cubes and half strawberries over top of bread evenly. Place the rest of bread cubes over top and lightly press down reserving about half a cup for top Repeat cream cheese and strawberries Cut the last of the bread down a little smaller and spread evenly pressing in lightly In a bowl beat eggs, milk, syrup, butter and vanilla together Slowly spoon or pour egg mixture over top being careful to moisten all bread. Cover and refrigerate over night. Bake at 375 for 20 min Check to see how eggs are setting up using a fork Continue baking until eggs are fully set and top is brown. If it gets too brown lay foil on top but don’t seal Can be served with extra warmed syrup and butter or dollop of whipped cream. Completely decadent May substitute other fruits. Blueberry and lemon zest is good too. Can use pie filling or jam Great for special occasion breakfasts. Yummy with side of 🥓 and ☕️

Made the Apple Fritter recipe this morning. We have an older Phillips Air Fryer analog, not digital, so we did two in the air fryer and the rest in the oven to get them all done at the same time. Had to cook all for more time since my air fryer probably isn't as strong as yours. Loved the brown butter glaze. I enjoyed the cruncher air fryer ones, but the fam enjoyed the ones done in the oven. Was a hit and enjoyed by all.

Depending on the model, some air fryers ARE dehydrators! The Power XL air fryer oven has a button for dehydrating, my Kitchen HQ air fryer had a special cover that went over the fan opening inside to turn it into a dehydrator. Even a regular food dehydrator takes at least 12 to 15 hrs. Her jerky was not done & the fruit did not turn out at all because they were eating it with a fork. LOL you can not eat anything dehydrated with a fork. Better stick to a real dehydrator or stick to the recipe you have because that one makes more sense.

Hi Cathy, thanks for suggesting that I check out this video. Two quick questions: do you think you could use canned, drained pineapple and maybe some apple and berries for the fruit in the fruit recipe. Also, what about using ramekins for the baked oatmeal and berries? (I don't have a pan that fits into my air fryer).
@empoweredcooks2 жыл бұрын
Hi Heidi - great Q's! I have not tried it with canned pineapple. I think it will still be good, maybe not as amazing though. But give it a try! The apples will take a bit longer to soften than the other fruit. And YES using ramekins is a great idea for the baked oatmeal! Off the top of my head, I am guessing that would make 3 or 4 servings.

I just found your channel yesterday and have been binge watching when I should be working! I'm from South Africa and we don't have a lot of the convenient items you use :( I am going to try some of your recipes and tips though. 1 thing I haven't been able to find was an oil sprayer, I've bought 3 sprayers that claim to do the job but it just sprays in a stream and doesn't mist. Needless to say, I'm frustrated and somewhat out of pocket. Any ideas?

Hello! Welcome, Ashlinn! This one that I have right now is doing a good job not streaming: amzn.to/3ehdvc7. I had another viewer email and let me know she thinned out her olive oil a bit with some distilled water (25/75 water to oil ratio) to make it a bit "thinner" so it would spray easier. Maybe give that a try? Hope that helps!

WOW! I've been watching you for a little while and I have wanted a good air fryer. I bought one (not the one you have) and I don't care for it. It's not digital and that's why mainly. SO! I took the plunge and ordered the one in your link along with the accessories kit. I didn't get a replacement basket because I don't think I need it. I'm not much for cooking extravagant things. Simple and easy for me. I'm retired and widowed so I don't want to fuss in the kitchen any more. Your videos are just right. You get to the point and I think I can follow along easily. I hope others will follow you and buy using your link. Once my air fryer arrives I'll be trying several from this video and my other air fryer will be donated to the Goodwill. @@empoweredcooks I have a tip that I have used successfully. I use parchment paper for my Nuwave oven all the time. So I don't mind using for the Cosori. But I don't buy the fancy holes included type. Tear off some parchment and fold into fourths so it fits the bottom properly. Now, remember grade school and making snowflakes out of tissue paper. I take my scissors and cut, cut cut here and there until I have what I think are sufficient holes. The way I do it is enough for 4 batches and the other 3 I put away until needed. Now I might be late to the party if others already do this. I'm new to the air fryer. Best regards from Wisconsin 💖

I am so enjoying all the air fryer recipes, and watching your videos has helped tremendously in getting me used to using mine (Power XL.) I have tried several of your recipes already and love the results so far. We especially loved the grilled cheese sandwiches, so much so that I wondered how just toast would fare in the airfryer. SO...while attempting to toast 2 slices of buttered rye bread, I discovered an issue that others may know, but I did not, and it could have been disastrous. I used the perforated parchment sheet, placed the 2 slices of buttered bread on the parchment, set the time for 3 minutes at 360, and started it. While I was getting the rest of the breakfast ready, I smelled something burning, and so I checked the bread---no burning. Started again. Smelled it again. After 3-4 checks, I opened the fryer and the PARCHMENT had lifted up and stuck to and begun burning on the element. I had realized that the bread was being moved around, but I never imagined that the parchment would become airborne! I'm so glad I was standing right there! So please learn from my mistake---the air flow is powerful and parchment is light, so make sure it is weighed down sufficiently when air frying anything. Other than that caveat, I highly recommend air frying😊, so thank you for giving me the motivation to actually use it!

John H. I love my oil sprayer, I saw this vid and decided that I'd try one and I'm glad I did. Thanks Have you ever used preserved lemon ? It's easy to control the amount you use and easier than zest. I make my own: I use a smallish jar that fits two lemons All you need to do is to cut the lemons into quarters and "press them" into the jar. (it's best to use a jar that the lemons fill completely) so while you are putting them in the jar they juice out a bit. Then fill the jar with regular table salt . Put the lid on and shake and add more salt (more than you think you should) until the lemons are completely covered. (an easy way to do this is add salt after the first 4 lemon quarters are in and then add the other 4 and finish putting in the rest, Lemon and salt.) Pour in some lemon juice until the jar is full. (Real Lemon or some other concentrate will work great) Keep the jar away from any heat and shake every morning and night. (salt may leak out depending on your jar. I just make sure my lid is tight and rinse my jar under cold water in the sink until the salt residue is rinsed off) After 3 or 4 (up to 6) weeks they should be ready to remove, rinse and scoop off the meat leaving just the lemon skin. I have a jar in my fridge and I put the lemon skins in it and they seem to last forever. I love to add some chopped or minced skin into soups, stews even chili. Salad dressing and really just about anything that could stand a little brightening up. I add it at the last 20 or 30 minutes befor the cooking is done for the brightest flavor) Maybe someone out there has more knowledge than I do and can give some tips or corrections?

I haven't personally used an air fryer like that, so I am not entirely sure. Take a look at the user's manual and see if there are any special notes from the manufacturer. And, if you haven't seen this video already, I think it will also be helpful: 12 air fryer mistakes (kzbin.info/www/bejne/mWKwoY2ohN5jY6M).

Yes the times will be different. The oven type fryers take a lot longer.

@@Paula-po9kx Awesome, you can also check out this page on my website. I have a lot more keto options on there. fabulesslyfrugal.com/recipes/diet/low-carb-and-keto/. Not all of them are air fryer recipes. But you can adapt them using the tips in this video: kzbin.info/www/bejne/iHimhKmPbL9sfJo.

Where did you get the cake pan from?

It was apart of an air fryer accessory kit: amzn.to/38q1U6J (just make sure it fits with your air fryer)

@@empoweredcooks What a cool experiment it will be... for both of us! There's a dehydrate button, but I've never used it. Maybe this will be the summer we harvest all the herbs. 🤩

Lemon makes buttermilk

Yep! But because we used a lot more lemon than needed to make buttermilk, the oatmeal tastes lemony.
