The thing I absolutely love about Dubs’ content is that it feels like playing the game with one of your mates. He just plays the game the way he wants to play it and that makes it so genuine and means the content never gets extreme or outlandish. Just good, fun video games. 10/10

Power builds like this don’t exactly do well in corners, especially circuits. But on sprint and street, it has world records. Not only that, it will test you at your worse to see if you can tame those kinds of cars, since we all drove AWD in a racing game for the first time. Every time you go into the leaderboards and see the top 300 players globally, most have used the jaguar XJR-15 1991, including Honda NSX GT 2005, Koenigsegg CC8S 2002, noble m600 2010 and noble m400 2006. Great cars to use in the rivals and race.

thx for trying my f1 tune! with the brakes and tyres, theres no upgrade apart from race so if i didnt have stock parts then i wouldnt be able to have as much power. you do have to race on a sprint race though as then you can understand how fast powerbuilds can be.

Powerbuilds are RWD builds with lots of Power to use on sprints and longer races (goliath rival is a place where you NEED to use a powerbuild like mt900s for example) with long flowing corners

Quality content as usual, but DUBSmb I think you misunderstood what the McLaren build was about. You took it to a circuit, exactly what the builder said not to do. Pick any race where you could accelerate for more than a few seconds and the McLaren would start to make much more sense. Really enjoy your videos, amazed by how much FH content you have, u really putting in the hours, thanks for that!

he said don't take it on the golden togue, which is demanding and low speed. The track I picked to go on was high speed and didn't require for me to slow down as much a lot. I did exactly what the car was built for

@@DUBSmb golden touge demands cornering capabilities, power builds are made for the complete opposite thing, they thrive in sprints that don't have lots of corners and some circuits like the one you tried but I really think you should have taken it to a sprint with long straights

tune maker here. even though the circuit he chose isnt terrible for powerbuilds, its still not as good as a sprint race. in the submission i did say not to go on the touge, but i didnt explicitly say to use it on a sprint as i only implied that.

Basically powerbuilds in B and A class are things that don't steer and generally suck, with some exceptions. In S1 and S2 however, shit is kinda grippy. I use a mclaren f1 gt on slicks with around 1.4hp/kg. It's nice

Power builds are definitely the most fun to race in opens IMO, when I win with a power build I am ecstatic, shit hits like a dopamine rush, I'm like damn I handled that well around the corners to beat some of the meta ez steer builds.

It is still an awful track that doesn't lend itself to comparable times due to the beginning on the track and let's be honest it's just the mountain road made narrower.. So many better tracks you could use. I don't know about 3 times in the last 15 videos but it's definitely been in the last 2 in a row.

Yea you're right. It's actually 3 times in the last 21 videos. Today, yesterday and 11 days ago. And it's fine, you know. If you don't like it you can just not watch it. You, alone are also not the only person that watches my videos and others do like it and want to see it in videos. The narrower walls make it harder to race on due to the fact that if you make a mistake it's over and you have to restart. It adds to the difficulty of driving there. But again like I said, if it pops up you can click off the video.

Dubs, can you do a video some time of how to.drift on a wheel in fh5? I can drift in asseto corsa, but forza either grips way to much. I have tc off of and stability It control off.

You really need to sweat to be good in a powerbuild, because when you get used to it, you will smash times. Also a tip for it, use no abs, way better control for keeping the brakes at their limit compared to abs

I use abs with this tune and while it's probably about 0.1 seconds slower, it's much better at keeping worse brakes from locking up. So although it is slower, i find it's much more consistent. The only downside with abs is that it's harder to trailbrake when going for rivals times.

had the same stick drift issue with the right thumb stick where it would put the camera to the rear whilst racing. the number of times I crashed because of that was ridiculous. why can’t the game have a dead zone setting for the right thumb stick to help mitigate this issue….?!!?!?

Power builds are for sprint races not circuit races, next time you do a power build review do a sprint race that’s not corner heavy for example don’t do the mountain sprint with a car that has 1000+ horse power and also, not every car you use is a good car to power build with

@@DUBSmb powerbuilds are actually a bit harder to tune properly than regular builds because they are less forgiving, but they aren't that bad, also not upgrading brakes is meta, most cars' stock brakes are good enough, after getting used to them driving with race brakes takes some practice tho lmao

@@DUBSmb that's a nope, 12/25 S2 road world records are set in powerbuilds (either the Mosler MT900S or the McLaren F1 GT), as are 18/21 S2 street records. Every single Hot Wheels 'Speed' world record is set in a powerbuild, from S2 to D class. The primary reason less S2 road records are set in powerbuilds comes from the addition of Bad to the Blade, which, when optimally upgraded to 998, can pull 0.3 more lateral Gs than the Sesto FE and thus is dominant on tracks with any sense of handling. They also become more and more dominant as classes drop, to the point where in street racing in S1 and below, the only track with a world record set in an AWD car is Tunnel Run. More than half of the road racing world records in S1 and below are set in powerbuilds, and if S2 had one more powerbuild record (something which is very possible, as the records are hotly contested) then all road racing classes would have at least half of its records set in them. The level of dominance exhibited by powerbuilds is undeniable.

@@DUBSmb ​ Powerbuilds are still hard to tune and even harder to drive, they take an incredible amount of patience and skill to control. To go with Quack, PBs are also prevalent on dirt as well. The F-100 and the ‘65 Mini are both PBs that are chipping away at dirt leaderboards and slowly claiming more records. Also the Reliant Supervan dominates C Class in every type of racing outside of Cross Country due to stability reasons. Slight changes to such a build can really effect the handling characteristics; it’s not just as simple as throwing in a ton of power and calling it a day. Besides that, awesome video! Great to watch as always and is super entertaining!

See…the McLaren tuned car is what people are using in the races against the AI. The AI is so bad in my opinion that these are the cars that people are building to beat them. They are just wall riding to get around the corners and then they get online and ram into everyone. Again, just my opinion.
