Yo bro, i do play a similar list with burple, doing great in all matchups but one: emerald-steel, how do you play the matchup? for me its almost an istant loss even if opponents play poorly

I gochu! If you played against Bucky last set you need to adopt a similar strategy kinda, being careful of what you play out and keeping enough cards in hand to not have your bombs discarded. That OR you get Magica out! With her I played with impunity until I play out my whole hand, then I can trade her away. Also sometimes if they hit the nuts a loss is a loss lol. Hope that helps :)

@@zerotheherolorcana I do think i played around that, but it does not seems work, i did play 2 magica cause the meta in the yesterday championship was heavy discard, still they bounce it with bruno or double cast with ursula and its always dead or not on the ground. I did 4-0 with other matchups, 0-6 against emerald steel discard and missed top 8, seems almost an impossible matchup to me. If you have some games played in that matchup i'd love to see them

Ah yeah it's a rough deck to play against for sure, I think a degree of luck is required as well. Early Magica helps, and you want to start with a low curve and hopefully find your high curve especially if you're topdecking. I do feel going first is considerably easier than 2nd vs the deck. I might have some footage but my local league players don't run it so it's scarce haha

She's super niche, you will usually be inking her but I play her every once in awhile! If you feel a 4 lore evasive will be hard to remove for your opponent it's often a good drop, especially if you have a bunch of merlins or other things you naturally wanted to bounce already on the board

so couldn't the opponent just have quested for the win after taking out the genie since its no longer exerted and out of play??

So while Genie is exerted, he says your opponent does not unexert at the start of their turn. Since that is when you normally unexert, even after he takes out Genie the characters remain exerted all the way until the start of their next turn!
