I finally upgraded to the Ultra a few days ago after using my Series 2 for 7 straight years non stop. That watch was so good and the only thing that made me upgrade was it was getting too slow for day to day use but man I didn’t really expect it to last that long.

@@ballooneyjr4294 dude thats cap, i have a newer samsung i think its the s7 s6 idk but the battery doesnt last 6+ hours. its still good but not compared to the newer phones. That phone only been used a year or 2 and not even heavily, it barely got used and all it was used for was whatsapp and youtube. The battery is probably fine.

I just purchased my first Apple Watch SE coming from Mi Band 6. Before, I used to think that Apple Watches are a gimmick and overpriced. But now, I think they are great. I’m glad Apple made this cheaper version of the Apple Watch as I don’t need the other extra features that the other Apple Watch versions has.

Was originally planning on getting the SE2 as my first Apple Watch, but ended up with the Starlight 41 Nike Series 7. Lucky to have an Apple Store within a 15 minute drive, so I could try on all colours, sizes and models. Went in thinking I’d go for the darker colour, but surprised myself when I preferred the lighter one. Absolutely love it!

I just ordered my first Apple Watch last night after resisting for so long. It was on sale at target plus I get an employee discount so it was a good deal that I couldn’t pass up. I really only want to track my workouts and steps so that’s why I resisted for so long and went with a Fitbit cuz I didn’t need it to do all the extra stuff it has. But the SE sounded like a decent device for what I wanted even though it probably still has too many features. This video though makes me kinda excited for all the extra stuff it can do. I just got so fed up with Fitbit and the company’s refusal to update anything so it was time to move on.

I use a stainless steel series 4 that my friend gave me. My main interest is to track my sleep and my exercise when I go for bike rides which I try to do everyday for at least 10 miles, sometimes it get a bit slow using Spotify but I wear it all day everyday. It works perfect for me, for sure a new one would be faster and nice but this one is doing great. I charge it twice a day, usually when I shower or I am having food and that's it. I can definitely recommend any gen from the 4th one (:

Buy a 7 or later for the fast charging if you can-- 33% is a small improvement technically but it went from me using the SE just for runs to wearing the 7 all day and night and just charging when I'm in the shower!

Great point. Being at 15% and wanting to go for a run, popping my 7 on the charger while I stretch for ten minutes and knowing it’ll get me through my workout is so underrated it basically removes battery life as an issue. No need to get an ultra folks!

I bought an Apple watch SE 2nd. gen almost a month ago and honestly, it's underrated, The pulse sensor, the reply voice Message is good, the size is 40mm (that's what she said) 300€, 1 day battery life, The OS (i have watchos 10 beta 3 on it), no lags at all, super fast, i think this apple watch is going to last me about 3-5 years (or till i switch back to Android, which won't be happening soon.., Or till there are no more updates) My rating on my Apple watch se 2 is a solid 10/10 Gotta love it! (and your content) 6 months later: This watch runs like butter with WatchOS 10.2 beta 4 I bought a case for it just like 4 days ago Still very good But... My battery health is at 98% Which isn't bad

Cool video! I've been rocking the series 3 (got it from a friend) and it's been working great for me. I don't feel the need to upgrade. Sure it's not as fast as newer models but it does what it needs to. I wouldn't buy it new though. If it breaks I'll be looking at newer models. The SE2 makes a lot of sense! I also use the (knock off) sports bands, but I wear them the other way around, you should try it! So: attach the side that loops to the bottom of the watch (part that faces you if you look at the time.

Apple Watch SE is great, but as with any Apple product sometimes it states that an update was not installed because not connected to power. Even when fully charged, it should be able to update, or at least offer the option to update. Only options are cancel, remind later, or install tonight. That time is anyone's guess. Would be helpful if the option to update manually (now or choose a time) were available so you can connect to power or allow update if fully charged. Is there by chance a hidden option to allow this on the watch? You cannot access Apple Watch on Mac OS as it does not appear in Finder and not even on iTunes when connected to power or WiFI as does with iPhone, USB devices, etc. You should be able to control Apple Watch on Mac OS as you do with iPhone so not sure if I am missing something or it's a security matter on Apple's development team...?

may I ask what can you exactly do on your watch, without your phone? I go for a walk or a jog every evening too and my 14 pro max is honestly too heavy to fit in my pocket while jogging so I carry a waist pouch every time. I got my 2022 SE a couple of weeks ago. I was excited to try the sleep tracker. Woke up in the middle of the night with a burn, tried moving it off to the side, but had to move it to right wrist. When I woke up I had a tiny dot from where the sensor is. I looked it up and people have had worse burns. So annoying. I guess it's not very common, and you can loosen the band, but when sleeping I'm sometimes lying in a way that will push the watch to the skin. I'm thinking about returning it. Great video! @@andreit460 Thanks! Good to hear! I think it's rare, but if you search you will find people showing way worse than my tiny dot hehe But most of them are nickel allergy from the strap itself. I tried it for sleep tracking again and it's clearly irritating my skin if ever so slightly, but that could be from the initial burn. I will not be wearing it to bed again but it's ok, I don't care, and It's nice to have the watch on my bedside table - fully charged. :)

If you sweating a lot when you're on workout, I recommend to NOT use that type of Apple band. After a lot of trainings It can smell very bad and washing can solve a bit this problem but not fully, It still smell bad. I'm using a silicon band (Nike version) and it's better for my workouts and my Apple Watch doesn't smell bad anymore.

Do you need to have your iPhone nearby to use your Apple watch or is it completely "stand alone"? I'm new to Apple watches. I had an iPhone 4S and an iPhone 6 years ago and I just bought an iPhone 13. I'm looking forward to optimalising the automations and usability of it.

If your watch is a GPS model (i.e. without cellular function or not set up with cellular) it would not be able to access the Internet without an iPhone. Cellular versions can but it drains your watch's battery. If you have the cellular version and set up the plans you can use it stand alone for phone calls, streaming music with Bluetooth and using maps. Other than that you would need your iPhone.
