first i wanted to say that jax actually played well but then i rewatched the last fight and understood that he just pressed all of his buttons as fast as they were off cd and it worked, especially bc towers dont exist for jax. he could freely kite under serylda's slow and did 450 dmg per one w to fed aatrox with tabis

is not strong vs aatrox, aatrox doesn't rely on auto attacks and as long as he respects the difference in cds he is gonna win each trade because he can disengage through jax's stun and he has better sustain, if jax goes bork he has more sustain but is also so squishy he is likely to die in one rotation even with r and the items to build bork aren't strong enough to trade

Jax is better at trading against Aatrox. Due to relying on auto attacks mostly, Jax has more consistent damage output. However, Aatrox can mitigate this advantage by either playing safe and poking with Q1 or wait for his Q3 to use once he gets stunned by Jax. If you want to punish an Aatrox in lane then slow push when the wave is on your side of lane this way Aarrox has to walk up to get xp and perhaps gold. This allows you do longer trades as you chase Aarrox back to his turret. Note that a smart Aarrox will play very defensive against you and try to wait out the laneing phase while also buying defensive items. Don't chase too far and don't continue to fight if aatrox has started to land his combos properly as he will win the trade with healing.

Also, use your stun as your trade tool. Walk up and fight then stun and hop away before Aarrox can land his combos. This is how you win in the trading game.
