You Should Never Wear Leggings On A Plane. Here's Why

Instead of "leggings" say "tight clothing". A skinny jeans sounds just as bad or anything tightly fitted

Yup…I’m still gonna be wearing my comfy built for athletics leggings on a plane. With the compression socks I also always wear. Definitely recommend compression socks to everyone!

Compression clothing is supposed to prevent deep vain thrombosis but you are saying that it may cause deep vein thrombosis, I have never seen anything about that before. And if the material in your clothing is smoking from a fire causing toxic gas you probably are already dead. IT is very difficult to find clothing that is pure natural fiber, most clothing has sinthetic fiber in them(nylon, polyester, Lycra are most common).

y'all lost a subscriber with this one... complete nonsense that you're going to worry so many people leggings are breathable, stretchy, and versatile. it's actually scientifically proven that skinny jeans on the other hand, actually pose medical concerns such as lack of circulation

But aren’t compression socks good?aren’t sports wears like leggings almost like that? And is very expansive to wear only natural fiber it’s almost impossible if I find them I def can’t pay for them… sad but true

Leggings are stretchy, so they aren't restrictively tight. Seems to me that they would provide compression to combat DVT. And they are super comfortable, which is why I prefer them when flying, even as a guy. I found several articles online saying that you shouldn't wear leggings when flying because of the synthetic fiber, but the vast majority of them pointed to a single person as their source, a travel writer. Seems like an opinion to me. I think I'd like better, and more, sources to back up that kind of claim. Also, are the chances of experiencing an aircraft fire so much greater than a fire on the ground? Are we supposed to give up wearing any synthetic fiber, anywhere, ever?

I like to wear leggings bc when I use that filthy on board bathroom , my pants aren't wiping up the floor. They wash and dry easily to be worn again....
