My residence is very close to Saundkoti Hills Homestay. In fact, my car can be seen near the white gate (6.45). I spend many a evenings with Negi ji at the Homestay when there are no guests. It is lush green, serene, calm, beautiful, picturesque place with wonderful view of majestic snow capped Himalayan peaks. In a clear day, particularly during October to March, you will get a panoramic view of Chaukhamba, Bandar Poonchh, Swargarohini, and many other peaks. (6.00) Besides Surkanda Devi temple, Chandrabadni Devi temple can also be seen from that point.

In my view October -November is the best time. It is cold, but not too cold. View of the snowcapped mountains is clearer. Till September, generally these mountains remain hidden in fog or clouds. December end, January, February are too cold. If you have no issues with that, you can come. You can experience occasional snow fall too. March onwards, weather is pleasant, but mountain view will depend on your luck. You may get a glimpse in the early morning. It is worth visiting through out the year. Choose your time as per your convenience. 🙏🙏

Kanatal is a better place than this location.. At least close to some select restaurants like RawWood and Hermitage.. Route from Chamba to New Tehri is amazing..
