I have always enjoyed reading, but as I got into research it meant more reading and then pondering more over what all I read for that critical analysis. Also, remembering exact arguments with a researchers precision so that I could sit down with my ideas and write academically sound papers. All of that has put me off I guess, I struggle with writing in a flow without having to think of multiple references that need to be cited. I agree with you sometimes this entire schooling process just sucks the marrow out of life. During some challenging years of my life which seemed like the longest I stopped reading, I used to enjoy fiction but now I am extremely picky. I earn my bread from reading and writing so I have to train myself to enjoy reading in ways that don’t look like a struggle! Each day is a learning. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I thoroughly enjoy listening to your perspective.
