You should travel to Jeju in winter

I see a lot of people ask if visiting Jeju Island is a must if they are visiting South Korea. We decided to stick around Jeju instead of vacationing somewhere else during our lunar new year vacation to see what Jeju island has to offer for families in winter.
We were on the Seogwipo side of the island near Hallasan and Seogwipo city during this video.
Places we visited:
Yeongsil Trail on Hallasan
Seogwipo Recreation Forest
Saeseom Island and Saeseongyo Bridge

What a lovely family! Jeju is beautiful in every season. My favorite winter activity there is to hike the snow-covered Hallasan Mountain.

Part of the reason we are hiking more is to get the kids ready to hike some of the great mountains korea has! Hallasan is definitely on the list! - Dom

I currently live in Jeju and I highly recommend you guys climb one of many hills in Jeju. I think there are 360 hills. I recommend 다랑쉬 or one that's closer to your place is 저지. Try climbing to the top. The scenery is just breathtaking. It will only take about 30 mins to 45 mins at most. A trip to Jeju is never complete until you climb one of thee many hills. Best wishes!!

Hi would u mind me asking, do u need car seat when renting a car in Jeju? My daughter is 4 years old.

I think you can rent the booster seat from the rental place. I have a 4 year old and I just bought one when I got here. You could also bring a booster, or buy one at lotte mart or emart when you get here if they don't have one at the rental place. You don't need one, the rules are much more lax here than in Canada (not sure where you're from but that's where we are from)

As a Canadian, what is the cost like at jeju? I heard it is expensive there.

Cheaper than our home in Nova Scotia but groceries are still relatively expensive. Nova Scotia isn't a good comparison because it is extremely expensive. I would say jeju has been more affordable for us but depending on where you are coming from, it's probably relatively more expensive.
