I've found so much 5.45 BS/BP/BT ammo in 120 packs on reserve it is nuts. Plenty of 30 packs, I'll leave a raid with 2 to 3 boxes of either BS or BT its great

It's a classic medium range weapon, so it's my jam. The in-close downsides are the punishment for not finishing off opponents before they get inside your preferred engagement range. I just wish the ammo worked better at 100+ meters.

Guys just a quick tip, slap a canted sight ( I use Burris FF3 ) on this thing and ADS its literally INSTANT. Like literally. I tried only clicking RMB and just by doing that, I can see my red dot in 0.01secs on my target.

Heh, I’m not surprised. BSG likes to buff whatever is Russian. The semi auto AK is no exception. Heck, Nikita may even have one considering it’s likely what is a little “higher tier” that’s available to them on the consumer market. So they’d buff it to have an almost 6kg gun to still have 100 ergo even further that the AK platform isn’t particularly considered ergonomic as compared to more modern rifles. It gets even more astounding that you’d have a big blocky waffle suppressor and a 60rd while it’d have like 70 ergo which beats the ergo levels of other properly and realistically modded SBRs or even SMGs

@@vultureTX001 Personally, I don't even like using larger than 30 for the aesthetic, even for M4s or HKs. But people still run 60s on 5.45s because they don't want to reload. I think it's also the most reliable quad-stacked mag too while being relatively cheap. But the dig was more so that the massive penalties of a 60rd isn't offset by how outrageously high the ergo is on this thing.

great video, while i can agree the gun is solid, for the current going rate at the moment, you can buy, and mod, an rpk to have near identical stats to the short version(with free muzzle break) while retaining full auto, while I cant speak for the trader price, on the flea its still a little too pricy at the moment to be a viable pick.

My biggest issue with the SAG is that its 5.45. Its okay at range if you're headcracked (I am not) but otherwise the damage is just sooo laughably low for any good rounds that its a struggle to kill anything up close.

To counter your shock at hunters using armor piercing ammo to hunt with. I live in SC, the cheapest and most common 5.56 round out here in the Green Tip M855 standard issue Armor Piercing ammo. It's so abundant; that at any time i say i have ran out of ammo to shoot at paper targets at the range. Someone would donate a brick of it just so we can all shoot together. Now for its use; Boar, simple as that. They are very tough to take down with a 5.56 unless you aim for the neck and end up with a runner 65% of the time. So the M855 round (Lets face it, it might say "Armor piercing" but it's honestly just designed to go through a small mild steel plate). Has plenty of penetration with reliable fragmentation to drop Boar on the spot. Boar and Crocodiles. Are there better options? Of course, but when you only have an AR-15 to protect your seasonal crop. M855 still has its place in the world.

@@deezboyeed6764 The M855 was designed to be able to penetrate a standard issue GI steel helmet at 500 yards. From which it does. But with the introduction of Kevlar and composite/ceramics. The M855's use as "Armor Piercing" is now only effective to what is considered low to mid grade armor. The bullet was designed back in the 1960s. Just like anything on the modern battlefield (Except Artillery). It has been replaced and in order to compete with modern body armor. The USA military is just going to a bigger bullet any way. Hence why we're adopting and will soon field the XM5 (Sig Spear).

7:23 I spent the wipe before last constantly crafting both smg ap rounds and my god was it a pain, last wipe I started using aks and my god it was so much better, I could go into a raid not caring about the 10 hours it took for me to craft the stack of ammo that's in my mags, mostly because I knew that if I ran out of ammo one scav raid to interchange and I could just barter for the ammo I needed. The only time I will return to smgs is if I want to melt someone's legs or bully some timmy in the bunker.
