집 보러 갔을때 세입자가 살고있어서 구석구석 자세히 살펴보질 못했어요ㅠㅠ 근데 워낙 컨디션이 안좋아서 집주인이 올수리를 해준다고 약속했어서 저희는 믿고 계약했는데 집이 이런 상태일 줄은 몰랐어요😭 그래도 어쨌든 집주인분이 수리를 다 해주시긴 했어요ㅠㅠㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎㅎ (더러웠던 집은 청소업체 덕분에 깨끗해졌구요🥲)

even if you get an inspection it’s not hard to miss things! i bought my first home and even though we thought during the viewing all we needed was cosmetic work, and the full inspection said there was nothing worrying with the house, when it was empty and we moved in we started noticing more and more work that needed to be done. sloping soft floors, loose baseboards, bad outlet installations…! luckily you are only renting, so i hope with cozyboy’s new job you are able to afford a nicer home quickly, and also be able to fix what you can in your current home. it’s been mentioned before but please be careful of the mold coming back. i would recommend dehumidifiers in the balconies and possibly repainting those areas with a mold-sealing paint. black mold can be especially dangerous so be vigilant!

You worked hard!! Sorry it was such a depressing move in, but glad you finally got repairs and cleaning done. I hope the next thing that happened is resolved too, argh! I have an old house since I live in England, and if you find there are areas prone to mould then I also recommend a dehumidifier. You can get a plug-in one and can run it in areas needing to have damp air dried, I run mine year-round in my flat to avoid excessive mould. I still get mould but I watch it and clean carefully and every five years I repaint with mould-resistant paint, and it's possible to be safe and healthy :)

Regarding the mould, you may want to do frequent checks to make sure it doesn’t come back again. If it does, you may have to use a type of paint on the walls that is supposed to prevent mould from growing on it. Stay positive and strong, we are cheering on for you!

That's a LOT of mold! Please make sure to keep an eye on it, mold is very stubborn and once it seeps into things, it's easy for it to regrow back. I'd repaint everything when the weather allows. Feeling you with the leaky sink, I also moved into an older apartment in a hurry and the amount of stuff I've had to fix is ridiculous. Being allowed to do pretty much anything to the place is great, though! I feel like knowing you have to put everything back really hinders renters' ability to make the place truly homey.

다이소 우레탄 문풍지 순간적으론 좋은데 나중에 접착면이 노랗게 되고 접착제와 투명필름지가 분리되어 떨어질 수 있어요😢 저는 추운 세탁실에 붙였는데 다음날 우루루 떨어져서 낭패봤는었는데 겨울 지나고 떼시는걸 추천드립니다 ..!

If home has to much moisture, you can try dehumidifiers. Open windows for fresh air. I use charcoal dehumidifiers in my small apartment. Wish you luck.

져도 구옥 아파트에 2번이나 살았지만 방충망은 꼭~~!!집주인분께 해달라고 하셔야해요~ 구옥살때 방충망만 다시 해주셨는데... 이게 오래된 샷시면 방충망만 바꿔서 될게 아니더라구요.. 집에서 모기와 함께 살게되는? 겨울에 바람 들어오는건 기본이라 배란다에 뽁뽁이랑 비닐커버 했던거 같아요.. 신축은 이중창 이지만 구옥은 거의 방충망에 창 하나가 끝이라.. 지금은 신축으로 입주하게 되었지만 구옥의 경험은... 겨울에 견로현상에..곰팡이도 자주생기고... 다시 이사간다면 좁아도 신축 빌라 이사갈거 같아요..

구옥아파트 살아봤었는 데요. 맨 꼭대기 층은.. 물도 잘 안나오더라구요. 곰팡이도 심하고; 특히, 악취가 심했어요. 그래도 1년은 버텼답니다 ㅠㅠ 오래된 아파트는 곰팡이를 제거 해서 없어진줄 알면 또 생기더라구요.. ;; 어쩔수 없이 살아야 하는 ㅠㅠ 영상을 보니 저희도 셀프로 고치고 살았던 때가 생각나네요. 결혼하고 4번 이사하니 왜 돈을 아껴서 집을 사야하는지 알게 되었답니다. ^^

Please take care, this is a dangerous level o mold and your lettings agency should be responsible! I had to sue my last landlord for this as we found black mold covered by suspended ceiling and we won the case as it's health hazard. It's not worth potential health complications, I'm really sorry this is happening :( Mold could be in your walls and the thing you clean is just the visible part..

에구 결로로 다시 곰팡이 생길거에요 수시로 환기 하시고 닦아내셔야할듯해요 가장 최선은 샷시로 전부 교체하고 집을 공사해야할듯한데 집주인이 그상태이니 음 그냥 2년 참고 살으셔야할듯하네요 자금 상황이 여유가 되실때 다른집으로 이사를 알아보는것도 좋을듯 싶어요

That is the problem with old flats. BUT…..look at the good side. You can do so many renovations on a low budget and DIY and make lots of great videos while we see the changes. It will be an exciting challenge and you will learn more and more things for the future!

old houses are good because of their space but the consequences that comes with them are a pain in the ass, plus when the landlord doesn't care about the maintenance 💀it's better to take care about it ourselves and ask for a rent descount later. i live in a house complex thats probably from the 60's and it needs maintenance constantly, me and my neighbors take the responsability because the landlord doesn't care too. good luck guys, don't be afraid to complain about the issues in the house, mostly when it could affect your health 💖💖

I'm so sorry your new start had to be like this :'( moving is hard enough when everything isn't broken or dirty. as many others have mentioned, I know you've put a lot of stuff on the balconies now, but you really have to keep an eye on the mold. it may look clean, but if you don't keep the areas warm and dry it will grow back, and it's dangerous for your health. so many older korean houses have mold problems, so look out for it.

Hi! Biologist and neuroscientist here, please for your own health get a company which specializes in measuring mold/microparticles to determine if it's safe to live in the apartment, it might be expensive, but it's so important to get and also to maybe sue. Mold you can see is only the surface, it spreads inside walls/ceilings etc. and can be a big health hazard. Look after your health first!

Sad to see previous owners didn’t take care of the house. Moving to an old house here, hiring a certified house inspector is a must to oversee any issues and what needs to be fixed before finalizing the buy so previous owner can fix it before closing the deal and signing papers and also lower the payment than the asking price if to fix it yourself

Happy New Year, CozyCouple! If I may make a suggestion--ask the landlord if he is interested in selling the apartment. I would buy it and make it my dream home if it is cheap enough. Sometimes, these things happen for a reason. Perhaps he is tired of the upkeep and doesn't want the hassle of dealing with tenants anymore. If this is the case, I would arrange it so that your rent and deposit are instead a down payment and mortgage payment. Even if you decide to move at some point, having the experience of a fixer-upper (not to mention the value of a property) will give you a LOT of leverage when you move again. It's a suggestion based on my experience here in the U.S. When I realized how much work and cash it would take to make my rental liveable, I worked with the landlord and the bank and bought it. It was a lot of work, but worth it in the end! Good luck!🏡🏡🏡🏡🏡🏡

It's crazy that the landlord didn't correct the mistakes in the house before handing it over. It can even be seen as irresponsible. In addition to having spent money on the move and the house, they had to hire a cleaning company to do the job that the owner himself should have done! What a horrible and disrespectful thing. 🙀 Quel padrone di casa mi convince poco 🤔. 20 anni non sono tanti per una casa, la mia ne ha 96 😅. Per fortuna l'impresa di pulizie ha fatto miracoli. Una vernice anti muffa potrebbe essere d'aiuto. La cosa positiva è che il padrone di casa ha detto che potete fare quello che volete. Io non farei comunque tanti investimenti, meglio risparmiare per una casa meglio costruita 👍.

저희 집주인이랑 마인드가 너무나아아 똑같아요...저도 구옥으로 이사오고 이것저것 청소에 보수에 힘든 시간을 보냈습니다ㅠㅠㅠ저는 심지어 화장실이랑 베란다 하수구 유가 설치도 제 돈 주고 했어요ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ큐ㅠㅠㅠㅠ그거 설치 안하고 뚫린 구멍 대충 막아둔 곳 살면서 처음 봤습니다,,..😂 그래두 두 분의 따뜻한 보금자리로 재탄생하고 있는 것 같아 다행이에요!! 항상 응원합니다🫶🏻
