Synth Layering ------ Round Tones Dull and Soft , good for foundation -Sawish for upfront layer. -Turn up octaves to help layers, turn up the sync or proccess a layer differently to make it stand out more -Cut extra frequencies not helping the layer. Kick Layering: -Again make each sound play a role.

In your video, where you mixdown your individual tracks to audio, to start mixing a creatively finished song, you turn off the EQs and some other effects first and I get why, I think. In it you say, that if the respective effect is integral to the sound, you let it on for that process. So in this case for the EQ'd layers I recon you would not turn off the EQs on the layers, cause they are part of the sound of the instrument. Is that correct? Thanks, I love your content and the way you present it :-)

Yeah. You're pretty much the only guy on KZbin I depend on to explain this stuff properly. I mean, you know what's better than a 303 baseline? 3 X 303 bass lines. Now how the hell am I going to layer that? I'm just going to do it.
