Just left a teaching job where I was not happy at all and my independent thinking made people uncomfortable, sent in last paperwork today, yay! First off, Thank you for the messages ❤ as always I appreciate you a lot I have some personal experience about being “clean” “sober” I like listening electronic music and especially hard techno - psychedelic trance genres are my jam and I like going to raves as well but I don’t do drugs when I’m listening or going to events. When someone sees me listening this music they directly assume that I’m a drug addict and they don’t believe me when I say I don’t need any drugs to have fun and enjoy the music. The worst part is that I know people that also listens to these musics and using drugs, judging me for not using. Their claim is always this: “you don’t know what you are missing” At one point I tried, I get why they are so hyped about it now okay, but even after my try-outs I decided that I don’t need any substance to have my experience. Fun fact the reason I like psy-trance etc is my big brother is a psy-trance producer so around the age of 9-10 I started listening psy-trance. So imagine saying “you should be on drugs to enjoy this music” to a 10 year old 😂

Btw I’m 30, so people judging the music that I’ve been enjoying for 20 years just because I don’t fit a mold in their mind is crazy

coming out of years of listening to edm and being so turned off by the molly culture where it's cool to do molly, stay up all night, and eat one chicken nugget, this drug opinion was so refreshing. it's so much better to be in places where the use of acid, mushrooms, molly, ketamine, coke, and alcohol etc aren't glamorized. as much as i miss the music i cannot reiterate how unhealthy the promoted "cool" lifestyle is where all it is a bunch of music festivals, shows, drugs, and parties

Hi! One side of my family liked to drink. I was around it my upbringing. So many teens I knew were like we are going drinking. I was never forbidden from drinking at formal occasions so it was never a forbidden thing so I never had much interest in it. I don’t do drugs. It doesn’t appeal to me. I don’t judge people that do drugs. I believe live and let live. On guy I was friends with in high school told me I should try drugs before I say I don’t do them. I laughed. He loved pot.
