I’ve watched it 5 times already within the space of a month. Its a feel good movie in simpler times and captured the charm of a city that looks much different now. Yes, I haven’t been to NYC or the US fr that matter, but a lot has changed now, unquestionably.

It’s started on AOL. I was in Texas he was in Maryland. Years of talking we finally met during Christmas 🎄 I felt I knew him forever. He would visit me and I him. Then one day I moved to be with him. This was the first movie 🍿 we watched together. Unfortunately we didn’t stay together. After 10 years we reconnected and the love was still there and the hopes of starting over. But I lived in Florida and he lived in Michigan at the time. Then he moved back to Maryland where I came back to visit and it was awesome but the distance took a toll on us. We started dating others and I got married and he passed away. So every time I see this movie I cry and my heart hurts.

I love this movie. I see it about 4 to 5 times a year..probably more! You will not believe it, even this week when watching the movie I thought: "It was so funny to see the children of the movie grown up" and coincidentally I found this video now :) Love everything in this movie, the all actors, the soundtrack, the locations of the movie, the script, the fact that the whole story goes on for a year, the Christmas atmosphere, EVERYTHING :) I loved watching more videos of actor encounters talking about the movie and the curiosities of the movie. I remember seeing You Got Mail when it was in theaters. For some reason I forgot there was kids in the movie. It was just when the internet came out when it was a new technology. E-mail was a new concept. You mean you can send a letter to someone with in seconds and the person your writing to replies back just as quickly. Wow this is so much better than snail mail.
