You've never heard a 4 banger AMG like this! Direct Exhaust Sound / Sunset Coffee Run in my A 35

Goal for this video in my journey to bring you top-notch POV content: vastly improved Sound!
For this, I've recorded sound directly from in between the exhaust tips using a lavaliere mic and a proper sound recorder with manual gain control.
The Result is even more astonishing than I would have expected. Of course the car sounds grandiose when downshifting, and it starts spitting pops & bangs, but the sheer amount of sounds that simply cannot be heard from within the car blew my mind. Even when I open the panoramic roof, which greatly improves aural pleasure, can I not experience these sounds. The microphone did such a good job picking up this "Symphony" that editing this video, the whole process really, was an absolute blast!
Filmed, as always, on an iPhone 14 PRO. This time with 29.97 FPS and a fixed exposure of -0.7. Both to achieve a more cinematic look. HDR was enabled, as always. I'm looking to add a proper camera to my set of equipment at some point in the not so distant future.

Yeah it sounds insane. No mods and stock exhaust. I’m planning on getting the Brabus Chip upgrade next spring. Go for it!

Quick question... Which one us better... 2017 GLC 43 or the 2020 a35?? Sound performance which one is the real deal

A35 is a track machine 😅

Both are very different value proposals, but I'd say sound wise the A35 is louder, pops and bangs much more and does so more aggressively as well. Much like the GLB 35, which doesn't bang at all. If you can, test drive both of them in sport + after warming up.

Not sure. I record sound directly at the rear bumber, but I can hear most of that as well when driving with the glass roof opened. It is however wild that they pump in fake sound when the exhaust sounds really good - especially for such a modern car.

I would think so, yet I don't know for certain. I've heard the new facelifted A35 and that is significantly less "rowdy" when driving - so overall less loud and less pops & bangs. It does however pop & bang while standing still, which mine doesn't do. I would presume that the new 45 series vehicles are also less loud then the previous gen.

Someone should probably throw in a crossplane crankshaft into these engines. Otherwise I have my doubts the community will accept this. A 2.5l five cylinder would be an even better solution.

@@babyamgit’s probably the first gen, I own a second gen 45 (M139) and the pops are exactly like this or actually even less. Maybe a little more deeper that’s all.
