I'd imagine most people would plug their laptop charger into the AC socket rather than a fan. In the full review we'll test laptop chargers, phone chargers, TVs, fans and other items. Most laptop chargers and other devices that use modern switch mode power supplies can run on 110V or 220V. But some loads, like fans for example, are usually only designed to run on a specific voltage.

Nice little inverter. When you do your testing, see if the fans/motors hum when in use. Less hum, better sine-wave conversion.

I just bought the Firefly bulb with infrared sensor.. it's freaking sensitive, which is a good thing. I bought the light because We're having a thief problem in our village. Thank You very Much for Your Videos, it helps Me alot.
@GadgetAddict7 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's very very sensitive :P It's actually more like radar than infrared but for whatever reason Firefly advertise it as infrared. Perhaps because people are more used to the idea of passive infrared (PIR) sensors. I'm glad it's working for you! It's certainly better to be too sensitive than not sensitive enough when it comes to security.

I use a power bank a bit like this to power my electronic musical keyboard. The one I have is not from Rav Power but it's from a brand called Floureon. It has a capacity that's even bigger than the ones you've shown here (146 watt-hours) and the inverter is rated at 200 watts continuous, 250 watts peack power. It works well for what I use it for!

@GadgetAddict7 жыл бұрын
Hmm I'll have to check with them on that. The one they sent me is certainly 220V. For many people it won't matter because their laptop charger will work with both 110V and 220V. But there are some things when the voltage will matter and for that reason I recommended to Ravpower PH that they import the 220V version instead of the 110V.

could i run a 9v guitar amp off this .and if so for how long? cheers
@GadgetAddict7 жыл бұрын
If you have a 110V/220V AC to 9V DC power adapter, it should work fine. As for how long it lasts, it depends on how much power your amp consumes. You need to multiply voltage by current. E.g. 9V 2A would be 18 watts. Although usually the rating on the amp would be under full load and lower volumes would consume less power.
@lastoftheurgents19657 жыл бұрын
sorry, I'm not very techie. This is the lead for the amp which is for a roland mobile ac www.amazon.co.uk/Roland-Acoustic-Power-Replacement-Adapter/dp/B00F5VPORS/ref=pd_bxgy_267_2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=QQACT8PQFAZ75XN95WSV any advice gratefully received

9V 500 mA is 4.5W which is a minuscule amount of power. It will easily run your amp and should last 10-20 hours

how many watts in average does a tv consume per hr? what does 110v mean? so the current is less? and cant supply a sustained current to 220v appliances thats why they're slow?
@GadgetAddict7 жыл бұрын
Depends on the size and technology of the TV. A 32" LED smart TV might consume around 30 watts. Some countries use 110V and some use 220/240V. If you look at your laptop power supply, tv power supply, phone charger, etc, most of them will work on either 110V or 220V and you won't notice any difference. But items with motors will spin slower on the lower voltage. Or if you put a 110V fan on a 220V power supply it would spin faster and most likely get damaged. Some 110V appliances plugged into a 220V socket will blow up, catch on fire or blow a fuse inside.
@mediacoregroupph7 жыл бұрын
if you plug 220v on 110v, the appliance will be underpowered. If you plug 110v on 200v, you will destroy, set fire, explode your product. no exaggeration, no joke.

This item is sold inside the Philippines so you don't need to ship from Amazon. But if ever you want to order from Amazon, you can order just like any other website. Signup, select the item, add your credit card details and address. Although some people prefer to use a forwarding company like Johnny Air Plus.

how long will it last say for a 35W load?
@GadgetAddict7 жыл бұрын
Good question. Based on the watt hours, we can estimate how long each load will last. Although it becomes a bit more complicated because as the power draw increases, you actually get less out of the battery. So if we did the capacity test with 1A and then again with 2.4A, we'd get a lower mAh rating the second time. Anyway, let's say the battery gave us around 55Wh, in theory that means we could run a 55 watt load for 1 hour, a 27.5W load for 2 hours. So 55 / 35 = 1.5 hours. In reality, because the load is higher, we'd probably see poorer results.

Actually, I've seen these for awhile now, even saw one in my local walmart on clearance for something like $30 (original price of $90) USD but unfortunately I couldn't get it at the time, although it didn't seem like it was a great quality either from looking at it. I don't really see it as much of a game changer though, because converting from DC to AC then back to DC wastes a fair amount of power, especially when a lot of the devices you'd probably power with it usually run off DC anyway, for example if you want to charge a laptop, you can find quite a few power banks that will output 19V but if you must have AC then ~150W inverters usually cost about $20, yeah the size of these are much more convenient to carry but you're certainly paying a premium for it. I'm sure there are better options, but here's a link to one such charger: www.ebay.com/itm/Emergency-Auto-Car-Jump-Starter-Power-Bank-Battery-Charger-30000mAh-12V-16V-19V-/302226187877?hash=item465e15a665:g:dbYAAOSw8oFXyHuZ&vxp=mtr

I normally don't approve comments with links but you raise a reasonable alternative and I think it's worth sharing. Can this power bank be used on any electric scooter whatsoever?
@GadgetAddict3 жыл бұрын
I guess you could plug your EKS charger into this and charge the scooter. But it's probably not the most efficient way to extend the range of your scooter and I'm not sure if any EKS can be charged and driven at the same time.

@GadgetAddict7 жыл бұрын
If you had a 110/220 charger for your ebike, you could plug it into this powerbank. It might not be the fastest way to charge your bike and might not give the biggest range boost, but it would probably work. It's a modified sine-wave inverter which we're going to talk more about in the full reviews :)

I think its overprice. I could buy 12v-220v portable battery solar type at 5thousand pesos.

That's true. But you can't really carry around a deep cycle lead-acid battery. And those batteries generally require maintenance. I guess it really depends on how you plan to use it :)
