Not sure if this is why others voted for heli pilot, but one thing I find really annoying about it is that on split path maps if you put the heli on pursuit it'll fly between both paths not getting to either one and just being useless

My theory on glue is people mainly don't like that you can't combine the different paths. At least personally I'd like and use the tower much more if I could combine glues without them cancelling each other out. Even if the slowing effect didn't stack (which imo it should not, I think it should just take the strongest slow to determine the slow, then the strongest damage over time effect to determine that, etc), it'd still be a lot more fun to use.

My only problem with the Ice Monkey is that it attacks waaaaay too slow, and has a minuscule radius. Until you get a third tier or at least a 0-1-1 it's pretty bad. But I LOVE the middle and bottom paths. Top path is okay. Good against Bosses but not fun to use. A big snowstorm and an ice cannon are much more interesting than doubling down on the base ice monkey (top path)

Cold snap enables Ice to see camo and take out leads so 203/4 are go to's early game and 205 can handle r90+ with only weakness being white bloons.

Can you try this for a CHIMPS format? Old School TD Any 2 tower types No heroes No clickable abilities (you can take a tier with a clickable ability, but you can't actually use the clickable ability) Idea is building a tower layout that relies on auto pilot with the only micromanaging being targeting. Because you tend to rely on few but high level towers, it might be a fun challenge for you. 🙂 Thanks again for the consistent uploads. 🙂

I love the glue gunner. I always get 2 at the front and go 2-1-0. They do great work against lead. I also love mortars. I hate micro so I typically buy a bunch and just set them on curves and overlaps. Heli I don't necessarily hate, I just never feel like he's worth it. Maybe it's because I haven't unlocked the final tiers though. Ice I like, but it's definitely once everything else is set up. I really like the middle path, especially when paired with a tack shooter and mortar.

Confession time, I hate using the druid. Outside of obyn the tower always feels underwhelming and I feel like I’m always forced into one path to have them be good. Those are the types of towers I hate, the ones that feel like they have only one good path or strategy.

When it comes to gule gunners I always use the top upgrade path. I rarely use the bottom upgrade path and I used the middle upgrade path once in a very special level where my only camo poper I was aloud to us was the Ace.

Continues are where you pay to continue, i dont see how retry last round is any different from quitting before a bloon leaks (with the exception of the bloon leaking in one of the cases), youre case with hims imo would be better if they gave you a continue option that doesnt give the extra cash (which they still SHOULD add imo btw...) All 3 paths slap. Top strips speed and lead layer early, then can crowd control with icicles, then can debuff and decamo. Middle and bottom can stall like a champ. He's wrong about the glue too. Even if it's not the headliner, early on there's no excuse not to get a 210 glue to break up the bulk or melt down the high health spawns, and even relentless glue has it's uses to just slow everything including moabs.

This a good showing of how glues don't synergize. You have Moab glue and Glue storm fighting over targets. You have the worse Apache prime as well cause of lack of camo. It really did show why these towers can struggle.

Easiest thing to do is do a base 5 decision tree for voting: pick 5, take most-voted. Do this for all elements of the set. The set is now the most-voted of this level of the tree. Start process over. Repeat until there are only N desired members in the set. Takes logarithmic time, so the larger the base (i.e. the more things you can operate or vote on at once per level), the better, so if instead we did base 4 decision tree, and we wanted to see which 4 out of 20 are the worst, the first level will "vote worst of 4" times 5. On this next level, we have 5 remaining elements, so we can't just vote worst of 4 as we have 1 and 4. Simplest solution: make two vote worst of 4 votes where one excludes a monkey from the other and take the worst four from each. If the same four were taken from both, then move on; otherwise, sort each by the choice of metric (best and worst), resolve ties, and remove the best from the set. You now have the four worst towers.

Ice Tower works well with Tack Shooter Fire path. I generally pair 1 Ice to 2 Fire, just in case any leak. I generally go 2-5-0 on Ice, and both a 5-2-0 and 5-0-2 on Fires.

I'm surprised that ice is so low seeing as it's a pretty good tower. Top path has some decent popping power with ice shards and debuffing from 4xx and 5xx. Middle has some nice group slowdown (especially since the buff) plus a useful ability. And finally bottom path has solid popping power plus the most consistent bloon slowdown

The big problem with ice is that his popping power is only really good with the bottom path, and only during the late game. Early game, he costs too much money and doesn't provide enough power or utility to be useful, especially because of frozen bloons being a specific type of bloon that other towers need to be able to pop.

I think part of the reason was it interfering with other towers and another part was its competition. Ninjas are well-rounded (and useful). Snipers have their niche, and so do buccaneers. There isn't really much reason to hate those towers. That leaves druids and ice in the first poll, and druids tend not to interfere with other towers. Ice towers do, which isn't great for a tower that is often placed in a supporting role.

The most hated thing is playing chimps with random people or that random Ben in the co-op lobby who doesn't want to quit. Also people with toaster pc/phone/Internet connection who slow all co-op lobby.

I think this loadout would be pretty decent on the balance map (outside of Quincy). Place an (eventually 4/0/2) Ice tower in the center, a glue to help slow things down and then heli and mortar can be placed outside while attacking the center. Have a razor rotor sitting on top of the ice, and 0/x/x helis patrolling around the center to push things back. Mortars provide additional popping power and more stuns (and burny stuff). Icicle impale can help with Moab damage and add even more slowing. The only thing that I think would be a major concern is the BAD, since Ice and mortar can decamo bloons. I think part of the reason why Heli pilots are so expensive is because they don't have to stay where they are placed and completely ignore obstacles. You're basically paying a premium for their ability to hover anywhere.

wow this is way faster than i expected this to come out i quite like all the towers here; heli probably being my least favourite; but i do love commanche mortars; ice and glue are all towers i love; top path ice and all glue paths tend to be things i use a lot i think if i were doing this is go for comanche commander; super brittle; pop n awe and bloon solver; those are my favourites of the paths; but i think practically apache prime and moab glue would be better; maybe even the biggest one instead of pop n awe but idk i for one am a crunchy peanut butter enjoyer; sometimes i prefer smooth but i love crunch in general so crunchy peanutbutter is great for me; sometimes the smoothness of smooth makes it like; too sweet? idk how to describe it but sometimes smooth peanutbutter is just sickly to me

in last few weeks i favorited glue gunner, only problem i have with with him is, his upgrades are expensive for early game so, couse of that i forgot use him at all. Chris, when watching your 1 tower chimps videos or one tower chimps+ videos I find it really difficult to enjoy them if you just end up using Geraldo. You said that if you fail a certain amour of times you were going to allow villages alchemists and I feel this is a much better solution. I find it hard to watch when you’re using Geraldo because he could essentially just beat chimps by himself anyways so you using snipers pretty much just feels pointless when Geraldo could be and pretty much is just doing by himself. So I feel that if you can’t do it with any hero you should resort to using villages and alchemists instead of Geraldo. Thus, Geraldo should be banned. Thank you

The reason why Apache Prime has difficulty with DDTs is because only 1 or 2 of its damage sources are effective. The rockets are explosive type, and don't hit black bloons. The quad darts are energy type, and don't hit lead bloons. Only the plasma damage and razor rotors are effective Also, shattering shells only removes camo off DDTs with a monkey knowledge

i would say: ice and glue are kinda weird and have unique strengths and weaknesses, making them hated heli and mortar have crazy targetting and that makes both of those hated ice: negative synnergy since frozen bloons cant be popped by a lot of stuff glue: negative synnergy with itself, top path and bottom path override each other which results in 1 nullifying the effect of the other mortar: micro pain, discussed in video, feels too expensive and needs large clusters of track for explosions to be effective (like the craters on moon landing) heli: too expensive for what you get, middle path is too micro intense with abilities (and some abilities are lost in chimps which is only additional loss while its still crazy expensive)

The micro on phone isn't too bad because with two fingers it's quite doable but having multiple mortars at once is basically impossible to micro that also on pc (and quick placing on mobile isn't possible at all because no shortcuts. scrolling makes it slow) Heli is one of my fav towers but i was expecting ice because it's one of the underrated by avarage player i guess and the utility isn't that much used by lot of players Idk why glue is one… maybe least pops and no camo? I personally don't like the 000 supermonkey idk why 🤔maybe for how fast it is you don't get anything special But once you upgrade it shines Edit: I personally think the x4x is excellent for last second save from sneaky bloons and icicle impale is one of my fav against DDTs super brittle for bosses but it's quite situational
