If you can keep up with a pred while being masters in a 1v1, that's pretty reasuring because it means the difference is just strategy related, which can easily be trained, as opposed to gunskill.

i average diamond and hit masters twice but i dont think they count s17/18. i play r5 1v1's against preds all the time and i can feel the gap between my skill and preds. one day at a time though. Have you tried just playing a bunch of pubs? When I first started that's all I did. I felt like ranked for for elite players tbh lol I waited a whole season before I even tried ranked. I'm sure you'll only improve from here :) eventually you'll start to rank up without really trying
