To be fair, if you were entirely black it still wouldn't be consensual, in the sense that you didn't decide what skin color you would be born with. As a half-white and southeast-Asian son of two abusive parents, my birth was technically nonconsensual, because I sure as hell wouldn't want to be born in this family.

On a recent interview with Marcus Whitney you said: "My grandfather George was born in Selma, Alabama and he was the grandson of Edmond Pettus the confederate general. We don’t have concrete evidence of that except that the Pettus’ many of them show up as my cousins on Ancestry DNA so that a thing. " Does this statement mean that you are not sure you are descended from a white plantation owner or did something else happen in your DNA story.

Have you ever heard about "oral histories"? It is quite common for that information to be passed from one generation to another. By virtue of the fact that Caroline Randall Williams has cousins who match her DNA and are named Pettus, it stands to reason that the information is accurate.

So is religion, or for that matter the histories of the confederate “monuments” that this video is attempting to prove is immoral.

Just another person trying to draw attention to themselves. The statement “my body is a monument” is just the most self centred statement you could make. It’s also amazing that these people are crying about “confederate monuments” being built. The only reason people have called for this was in response to middle class left wing activists (like this lady) taking down monumental all across the country WITHOUT public consultation (talking about consent) because they represented the confederacy. Millions of men died in the Secession war and taking these monuments down WITHOUT consultation is disrespectful. Again, it is done by middle class kids (like this lady) who have accomplished nothing and believe they deserve attention. So they do it with emphatic speech like this one about their body being “a monument”. A monument to what? Stupidity? That is laughable.

Every US school child and adult needs to have studied and assimilated Caroline Randall Williams's words. As of late January 2022 only about 4,000 have watched this video, Meanwhile southern states are busy removing any such texts from school curricula.

A lot most men of the Confederacy didn't leave family & farm for plantation labor preservation. NO. There were Confederate soldiers & sailors & Marines that never even saw a black person in their lives. You are putting your legacy on their sacrifices...that had NOTHING to do with you or your ancestors.

Whatch "checkmate Lincolnites". What you describe might have had rare examples, but the absolute majority of confed troops knew they fought to keep black men below them and working unpaid. You can find whole mountains of letters those folks wrote home proving they knew what the main point in that war was: that the black man is some kind of work-animal and must be kept in that place at the lowest rung in society. No matter how poor any simple soldier might have been, he could always imagine to be superiour to _"insertdemeaningracistslurhere"_ in that army. And they knew that well.

She seems to be saying her mixed racial heritage is Confederate and that is a bad thing, so ....is she unhappy with being a light skin and wishes she was very dark , and if so , has she been to counseling to help prove this or has she tried to alter her appearance to make her less white looking and more black Africanized ? Or is she, like almost all light skins, pleased with the way she looks ? Let us also remember, the CSA lasted just four years and most men were fighting, not screwing around. I would bet money that the overwhelming majority, maybe 97%, of mixed race offspring in America +occurred either before or after- sometimes long after- the Civil war.

So unless a woman is willing to reject every single standard of beauty in western civilization, which are all racialized, she has to shut up about racism? I don't think so.

According to genealogicis, the last major influx of White American "gene flow" was during The Civil War. and that's not even mentioning ancestry before the Civil War. It's ok to admit that the US especially the Southern US has had an ugly history wrt to racism and it's shaped today. It doesn't mean we have to be bitter but having intelligent discussions so we understand what America has to do grow as a nation.

It appears that you missed the point entirely. Caroline Randall Williams does not appear to have been to any tanning beds, so your remark about what she "wishes" is completely and utterly disrespectful. For the record, the percentage of mixed race offspring could not be calculated before the issuance of a law which made it necessary to record those statistics on birth certificates, which did not occur until the 1900's. I'm curious to know, since you are a male, just how long could you last without having sex before you would be happy to grab the first female that happened to cross your path? I suggest you learn more about the Civil War before making such idiotic statements.

Impossible, how could they draw attention to themselves if they moved on? Better sit here doing nothing, talking about oppressed they are. Funny that this lady is obviously upper middle class and educated and this is what she chose to do. The left will never change, left wing people have never created anything of value. They just need more attention that they deserve. Deep down they are compensating for their own failures but they will never admit. That’s why their cycle of revolution and degradation cannot stop

So sad that expensive education taught you nothing. The title should read "Product of left wing education!" Your great great...grand father did lead quite the exiting life it looks like!! You have to take into account that it was a different time and culture what he did was considered normal in that era I would not be ashamed to claim him in my ancestry. He was quite an accomplished man for his time in history. In 1940, a bridge across the Alabama River in Selma was named after him. In 1965, it became a civil rights movement landmark when 525 to 600 civil rights marchers on their way from Selma to Montgomery tried to cross the bridge, but were turned back and attacked by Alabama state troopers and members of the Ku Klux Klan. This event has since been called Bloody Sunday. But it's a confederate monument also do you think it should be torn down?
@DrRobynKelley313
@DrRobynKelley313 3 жыл бұрын
It is quite apparent from your grammar that you barely made it through high school, while you want to be cynical about Caroline Randall Williams' "expensive education." It is also apparent that you likely are from the area near the "bridge across the Alabama River in Selma," since you seem to know the history of it quite well. Half my kin folks live in north Alabama. In my opinion, there should be a memorial march held by black people on the bridge every year on the anniversary of "Bloody Sunday" to commemorate all those black people who were injured and killed during that fiasco. (IF you have a dictionary, look up the words that you do not comprehend. If you do not have a dictionary, just google the words to see what they mean.)
