LPN school is very difficult. You basically learn everything that a 2 year RN program would offer, except it has to be done in a year. Plus they do the same amount of work as an RN with less pay. *But* on the flip side, it pays a comfortable salary with plenty of opportunities (hospital, nursing home, home health, clinics, schools, etc.) It's definitely worth it. Average pay is $15-$25/hour. If you're unsure, start as a CNA.
@amandamarienp64853 жыл бұрын

Hi I have to disagree with your comment that a 'LPN' does the same amount of work as a 'RN' , that is simply not true ! I am a 'RN', with a Bachelor's Of Science (BSN) degree , all 'LPN's' work under the direction and supervision of a 'RN' and 'LPN's' cannot perform 'IV' treatment for an example , it takes 4 years to complete my degree and a 'LPN' course can take as little as 1 year ! Also the academic requirements needed to be accepted for a Bachelor's Of Science (BSN) degree is completely different to that required for a 'LPN' , as it is with a 'RN' who has a 'ADN', that degree takes two years as opposed to 4 years. An 'RN' will also work as a lead or charge-nurse something an 'LPN' would never be able to do ! There is a very good reason will 'LPN's' are paid less than 'RN's' and that is, that they are less educated and have less professional responsibilities. Thank you
@johnohara1972 жыл бұрын
@@aprillynn6221 So you made the above comment and your not even an 'LPN' ? So your relative told you ! Well how intelligent of you ! to make assumptions about 'RN's' when you have no personal experience or knowledge !!
