I remember, when I first became a Christian 40 years ago, reading some of those same scriptures and being a little perplexed. When a brilliant teacher came to our church, and explained that so many scriptures need to be taken in the contacts with which they were written. For example, when it says women should be quiet When in the church, it was because women and men did not sit together. The women sat together back further, and when they didn't understand something they would yell up to their husbands, and say what does that mean. It was causing such a disruption that they had to say women need to be quiet and let their husbands teach them at home. It was a cultural issue for that time. There are many more scriptures like that that are best read in context.

@@Cosmibon God loves women! It can seem as though God puts us down in some verses. When he talks of submission and being under the authority of men, but it’s actually a blessing. God never wants women to be put down or abused. He raised up many, many women in the bible as well as today. You are not being asked to come under the abuse of any man.. but the love of a man that is under the authority of God. To be under someone’s authority is something many of us struggle to understand today. Many of us because we only know the misuse of it. But the misuse doesn’t negate the truth of the real thing. So, I hope that helps! I pray that God’s love becomes more real to you and his love for all women.

This is my testimony of how i came to Christ. And how i overcame the odds. I had alcoholism and drug addiction and suicides in ny family but it ends with me. I was into satanism when i was a teen and i listened to black metal and death metal. I was disobedient to my parents, started smoking and drinking and later i started using drugs which held its grip on me for 15 years. I know now when i’m older that through my actions i got unclean spirits in me. Life was a living hell. I had suicidal thoughts, delusions and i was very depressed. Almost died of a suicide attempt in 2011. One night i was high as usual and went to bed to sleep for a few hours. But when i woke up i was paralyzed and i could feel something behind me in my bed. I was so afraid because i could feel that this entity or demon was evil to the core. I could feel its long claws scratching my back down to my buttocks. I didn’t know what to do when suddenly i heard a voice in my head that said: pray. And i started reciting the Lord’s prayer from start to finish without even reading the bible a single time. I didn’t know the words but God gave them to me supernaturally. And when i finished praying this thing got very angry and screamed ”do you think that will save you?”. And immediately i could regain control of my body and the demon or entity or whatever was gone. And i knew from that point that if demons are real so is God and i started to read the bible and pray. And with the help of prayer and many supplications to God i got rid of the spirits that was in me. A short while after i got born again i got into the suboxone program and it has helped me stay clean from drugs. That was 10 years ago and i’m a totally different person now. Truly a new creation as the bible says. I’m happy, content, i pray daily and read the word of God. I do volunteer work for the red cross. My relationship with my parents is better. I love my parents and i love Jesus. God can take the base things of this world and make them holy to confound those that profess to be wise. Thank you for reading my testimony. I try to share it with as many people as possible. It all started with satanic music and disobedience to God. Satan uses music to decieve young people to walk the broad road that leads to hell and everlasting damnation. Music is one of the most powerful things there is. But do as Paul says in ephesians 5:19. Sing and make melody in your heart to the Lord. Sing spiritual songs and hymns to God. Don’t listen to secular music. Satan doesn’t care if you worship him or not as long as you don’t obey God. Before I even watch this video I just wanna say I believe Holy Spirit has spoken to me the most through journaling. It started out with me writing poetry then I’d see a pattern that things I’ve never thought myself I’d be writing down as if someone was talking to me. And it’s really cool because he confirms it through other sermons or things I hear that I’ve never heard. For instance ever since I heard a thought pop up “you’re on the frontlines” I wrote it down in case it was God having child like faith but also partly thinking I was crazy, and since then I’ve seen sermons or preachers talking about frontlines and all my life I’ve never heard it in the spiritual sense. Now another thing I’ve written in my writings when I believed he was talking to me was literally the title of this “you were created for a time such as this” and now in sermons I keep seeing the same repeating message and the fact that’s the title was really cool and I wanted to share lol.

I trust in God even as I struggle to take care of my children and myself. As a single mother things are so hard on me. Both of my sons are autistic. God hears my prayers. I’m constantly struggling to buy groceries and constantly struggling to pay rent I’m ashamed and overwhelmed. But I choose to have faith over fear as christians that’s all we can do. No matter your struggle, you can turn to God. He knows us personally and can give us strength to overcome our challenges. I used to go to the markets at the end of their day when they were selling fruit and veg cheaper to get shot! Hope you have a local market that will do the same - or food bank - or fridge service.
