Sarah the title is SPOT ON! My birthday is on Christmas and I swear my family treated me like I was Jesus Christ himself! I was not given the love, understanding, and care that my siblings were given, but was expected to be their savior. They treated me like I was perfect and inhumane, so whenever I made a mistake, I was punished severely for not living up to their image of me. Especially my mom, she expected me to have all the answers to life, and looked down on me when I didn’t. I spent my life trying to understand why they treated me with such inconsideration. And both my parents are religious. It never crossed my mind that my birthday was affecting their perception of me until now.
