We really loved performing this song on #AGT and we wanted to release a full version

We noticed there is no official version of this song that doesn't have all the dialog from the play, so we decided to record our own "chat -free" version! As you can see, all the instruments were played live by my stupidly talented brother Nate (Baasik), and the vocals were recorded by me, Nate, and my amazing fiance, Claire. We initially recorded this for our live show (so far we've only played at a few private functions, but we're hoping to take it on the road once we release our new album... oh yeah, we're working on that too).
Anyway, since we had already recorded the instrumental and backing vocals for our show, we decided it wouldn't hurt to release our cover KZbin as well (I'm no Ben Platt, but I tried my best!) Unfortunately, even before uploading this, I know for a fact that it'll get copyright flagged just like everything I upload these days so, if you like it, please stream it on Spotify. At least we'll get a small percentage from that.
I'm gonna get real for a sec... I miss making KZbin videos, but if I'm completely honest, the copyright flagging and subsequent blacklisting and algorithmic punishment have gotten so bad that I can no longer make a living off of KZbin... I've had to dedicate most of my time to the things that allow me to pay the bills... So there ya have it, that's why you haven't seen me post in such a long time (well, that and America's Got Talent took up a TON of time. Every minute on stage represented about ten hours of work! It takes a lot to get an act like that approved, rehearsed, and running smoothly).
Still, this KZbin thing might be a blessing in disguise... Once I find my footing in my new career path, I'll be able to post videos without worrying about schedules, status, algorithms, or money! Hopefully, y'all will like that... I've always tried to be true to myself and not get caught up in the latest trends just so I can make a quick buck off of them. It's very tempting when your living depends on it, but now that it doesn't, I'm free to make what I want to make! The stuff that makes me smile! I hope it makes you smile, too, if you're able to find it. I know the algorithm will no longer recommend my content, so if you guys wanna see my new stuff, please make sure you have notifications turned on! Otherwise, feel free to unsubscribe. I won't let the channel die, but I'm also not gonna keep up with the latest trends (unless it's something that interests me). Same…a lot of people think we love being alone I think. We can be our own worst enemies by trying to mask constantly to the extent we do it around anyone that gets close to us to keep them away from our oddities. I know I do, even to my husband. The masking constantly though just wears on you though and shuts you down mentally over time. The constant exhaustion can just give way to feeling you should be alone. It’s a daily struggle but at the end of the day people do really love us…the real us…if we let them and we allow ourselves to see it.

I am on the autism spectrum and I wasn't diagnosed until I was 27. I am now in the process of getting an ADHD diagnosis at 36. I have been told I could never do what I want to do cause my grades were not good enough. I have been bullied through my entire school years plus first year and a half of university. I live with chronic pain thanks to a fall. Yet I am telling you that you can do it. I have 2 jobs (both came in the last year in a half after looking for work on and off since 2012), I drive, I have wonderful family and friends and amazing furbabies. Keep going and keep pushing through. The hills may seem tough but its a matter of getting to the top 1 step at a time
