It reminds me of this feeling: It's like the feeling of being in a new country, knowing noone and being so exited yet chill about the unknown time waiting ahead of you. No worries on your mind, just excitement about exploring the new environment and getting into adventures. Feeling for the first time you belong to a place, feeling warmth, feeling confident and happy although everyone you hold dear is back in your home country going on with their routines, which leads you to feel a bit of guilt enjoying yourself that much. But the feeling in the new environment is just too powerful, it's like you are breathing and living again and the sadness is finally escaping your body just for a while.

This is why I drive a truck long haul. Because the open road is the best therapy for me. Where I am at peace when reality is a complete mess. When nothing went the way you hoped it would in life. You end up being your harshet critic. However, the road never judges. In fact, for me it is a infinite path forward that helps keep things in perspective. The magic of the road is not the same as it was during the honeymoon phase just like in most things in life I can admit that. But, what looks like running away from reality is in fact how I get to reality. Wherever you are in life. If you are reading this. Keep going and never give up. Go find your happiness. But never forget that it is not the destination that you live for so much as the journey. You gotta enjoy the journey as much as you imagine the joy of the destination. If you don’t, life WILL pass you by. ✊
