I was FERS for 9 years 10 months. How long do I have to submit my retirement application. Which would I submit if I wait until 62.

Postal Employee. $1,800.00 monthly pension $170.00 monthly Fehb. No survivor benefits and no life insurance. I'll be doing a lot better than the person in your example.
