I love watching these masters at work and paying close attention to what I'm seeing
Dear Master Tamotsu, It is my greatest plarusre to learn some further metholdology of applying Qin-Na,. To my understanding the process of learning from the beginner , through intermediate and advanced goes along the way from wrist, elboq, alrm and body grips and their solutions . This methodology from beginner, intermediate and advance is really an asset. Many thanks for that an wish you good health. Paul, 66, retired instructor of Karate I

We all know or instinctively feel that our bodies are one biological machine that can be immobilized by strategically placed touch. I just marvel at the Chinese understanding of human anatomy and ability to study it from external point of view - without using expensive equipment. My son once just touched me with his extended finger in chest area without even realizing what he did - and my entire body collapsed to the floor as I lost consciousness for a split of a second. And he knew nothing about pressure points at that time. This is what I call human science at its best. Humble presentation - what a difference from bombastic style of presentations in western world where most just want to get their 15 minutes of fame (and some money along with it). Everyone in this video is so highly civilized it stuns me blind.
Excellent Qin Na Master! Thank you for sharing your skills and knowledge! Man Thabata Nabata (Consistancy brings forth fruits) So much perfection I see in your skills! 😎 👍 🍵 🍛🍛🍵

"Qin-na to the wrist is an important *first step* in practicing. Through these exercises, we can understand how the human body is structured." great explanation by Miyahira Tamotsu sensei. this is absolutely what most Aikidoka tends to not understand.. they think "hold my wrist" is a legitimate real position lol. this is why Aikido is the most bullied martial arts today. poor poor Morihei Ueshiba must be rolling in his grave...

"Hold my wrist" can happen, but not as you see in demonstrations. You can "force" your opponent to grab your wrist if you were to try and stab them with a knife. If they try to stop your attack by grabbing your wrist, then this applies.

the starting point explanation makes sense. In a street fight the opportunities to use sophisticated techniques won't be so easy to capitalize upon but they do occur. But if one without hours and hours and hours and hours of practice tries to focus both their hands on a wrist technique, they will likely get pounded by the other fist or feet.

the little finger in up position and the alignment of the arm to the back of the body... or to the vertical of the body "on the side" of the body... if the arm is anywhere other than the side of the body it doesnt work... if the arm is aligned to the shoulder blade and back the whole body gets locked... that is when a low energy twist that is vertically aligned to the arm going to the shoulder blade and back works...

Idk I can think of a couple things. Front flip kick to the top of your head in this position would be one way and if it landed it would definitely not be good on your skull and neck, if it didn't connect it would still force you to let go unless you're strong enough to hold them one handed otherwise you'll probably break or strain your arm. A few wrestling and bjj arm bar techniques I also know of could surprise you from this position.
If you play with rope it will often be flexible,, if you pull the rope tight the rope will become rigid..Thank you for the lesson... 🙃🤸💦

Благодарю за субтитры.. Сенсеи прошлого, наверняка не обрадовались, что боевое искусство изучают все кто хочет. Стивен Сигал первый такую технику всенародно показал в фильмах..

The teacher pulls and drags as opposed to pushing into the opponent. That's why his technique works.
