My husband committed suicide last fall. We were in the process of selling our business. Needless to say it was the darkest time of my life. Every day I got down on my knees and thanked God for my struggles because I knew this is the path he had chosen for me. I knew it was going to make me a stronger woman and Christian. I see Jordan Peterson going through a somewhat similar process as Mr Lewis, following a similar path from atheism to a spiritual awakening, that perhaps mimics most peoples struggle between the material and spiritual worlds, but in their own, unique way. I saw so much of Gods presence in retrospect, as I meandered through life, career, family, divorce, distance, anger, resentment, depression, cancer...and finally bringing me back to God but into the present and into his PRESENCE as a daily guide in my final journey here. I not only speak daily to God but I listen intently to his response. It is perpetual and embedded in the most mundane of instances. Read his word, listen for his answers and revel in the picture he paints for us in all we do. For its in that love that is the point, the word, the answer.

I took care of my mother for 10 years, she passed 3 years ago. 9 months later helping my oldest brother he died. So visiting my other brother in New England, my motor home caught fire, burnt to the ground taking everything and killing my 4 dogs. A year ago 2 mini strokes and 2 heart stints... All I can say to you God is that you broke my heart taking my 4 innocent babies. Now I am broke living in a van, alone and scattered in disgrace. YOU destroyed the best part of me.
