I can not believe the filth on the sidewalks and gutters. There’s no garbage bins around. Doesn’t this town have a council where council workers clean up? I hear where you're coming from, but it's not as straightforward as it might seem to you, especially when it comes to addiction and places like Kensington. A lot of those folks have people who care about them - parents, siblings, kids, cousins, friends - but kicking the habit and giving up the live style ain't a walk in the park. Many have hit up rehab more times than they can count, have been back with there families, only to end up back in the same mess. It's not only detoxing, the part after detox is much harder. And just when the families think all goes so well, they run off again. Families search high and low for their loved ones, only to get hit with, "Nah, I'm staying, and I want it this way." The thing is, the addict has to want the help and be ready to accept it. Sadly, that road is usually crazy long, and a lot of times, it feels like it's a lost cause. So, let's not oversimplify it, ya know? Your comment might sting a bit for families trying to save their folks, but it's just not that simple as you thing! It's not!

And yes, I know about relapses. Been there, Done that. I was speaking from the Heart, and I know the pain. I watch videos like this one because I can relate, but when I said I wouldn't be able to sleep, I speak from experience. I lost a nephew to this horrible addiction, the only child of My husband's Sister. So I do know all about rehab. The success and the failures. It's terribly sad, no matter how you look at it. 💯🤨😟😉😰

Thank God they never got to that point, because you are never done when you are a Mother. I have had many heartbreaks and sleepless nights and it has cost me in so many ways and at the age of 66 I am still struggling with my oldest and he is almost 50. I appreciate your comment very much, I was just speaking from the heart as a Mother of addicts. GOD Bless ALL who are in fight for their lives every single day. I listen to the Pittsburgh Police department Scanner every night and I can tell you that the problem is severe right now and it's affecting people of ALL ages from Early teens to folks in their 70's. I really don't know how the first responders keep up with the overdoses and saving lives everyday with Narcan. It's not a lifestyle choice once they are addicted. They have no choice but to take that drug every day now or else they could end up withdrawling and killing them or seriously harming them. They actually found that withdrawling off of multiple substances completely at once can cause brain damage and that's happening all of the time with these people. The resources our "Government" provides are so regulated that they don't work well or are not fixing the root cause of the problem or are even just stolen and given to jails and county officials(Look up the Purdue Opioid Settlements and where that money went). These people are literally trapped and their brains have been rewired to the point that they can't live without it. With the Fentantly analogues out now like 4-Phenylfentanyl with month long half-lives or Carfentanil that's insainly strong, some people CAN'T STOP or else they could end up dead. We need to medicinalize Heroin Assisted Treatment(HAT) or Dilaudid Assisted Treatment(DAT) along with deregulating Methadone, Suboxone, and Naloxone/Naltrexone in order to even make a dent and actually possibly stop this Opioid black market from getting bigger.@@ronferguson9695
